Roland
I didn't realise rohan is 21. I Wonder how good he could have been by now if he hadn't off tried his hand at road racing for a few years. Don't worry, The Tiger Man was a lot older when he started skidding! Olga
It's a shame CL can't find a place for at least one Brit at Ippo in 2012 :-(

I Wonder how good he could have been by now if he hadn't off tried his hand at road racing for a few years. Well John Louis was 28 when he took up speedway and look how good he got, so who knows with Rohan. But too much pressure should not be put on Rohan or Cameron at reserve riding on tracks they have never even seen.
mickthemuppet
Just another piece of information that might provide your comments with a wee bit of credence and authority. Fact.....more people came through the turnstiles at Foxhall in 2011 than did in 2010 in the moribund NsEL. Thanks for the invitation to Compost Corner, but I never feel that comfortable in KL. It's probably down to the fact that my parents were not related to one another!!! It does not but you in a very good light if your parents are not related . I think there is a word for it
Cliffeboy
Well all the guess work was correct well done those people on the final 7 for the Witches. Although as Ive stated many times Witches needed a no1 I will temper that a bit after seeing this side full of potential. As long as Kevin Doolan can up his average on his new equipment to around 8.5 which is surely not beyond him, we will have one. Who rides at 5 is still a contentious issue and after giving it some thought, think it should be Morten Risager as he can gate quite well and fast when in the lead and obviously has greater experience than most. Keep the very likeable young man Taylor Poole at no2 with Kevin Doolan, they made a good twosome last season. At no3 I would have Matt Tressarrieu partnered by Dakota North at no4. Think this looks a balanced formation what do you guys out there think? Think the real strength of this Witches side will be at reserve, there will not be many better reserves out there Im sure than Cameron Heeps and Rohan Tungate. And Im sure they will get many a 5-1 in the reserves race at home and away and heats 8, 12 and 14 are well covered. Its great to have our team all put together before Xmas and its an excellent Xmas prezzie. So all in all Im very pleased with the team and expect some really exciting racing at foxhall in 2012, bring it on. I agree the side looks very useful, however I`m not sure Heeps and Tungate will be quite the match winners you are hoping for.I believe they are both 17,very young at this level. As the season goes on I`m sure they will do ok. Doolan can be a bit hit and miss as can Risager, however Dak,Taylor and Mat are solid signings imo, keep those three fit and you will be there at the sharp end. Mr Snackette
It does not but you in a very good light if your parents are not related . I think there is a word for it I think you wil find that there is a very specific word for parents who are related to one another. Also I believe it's a criminal offence. Well if yours are, then I think that now explains a lot!!!! From your comments I had a suspicion that you were likely to be a very strange Norfolk person!!!! As someone who spells the tiny creature gnat without a g like nat I will quote you what is says in the Modern Oxford Dictionary (P.S. Not to many people on here spell four letter words wrong or in your case a three letter word) Related 1. Being connected:associated 2 Connected by kinship, common origin, or marriage 3. Music . Having a close harmonic connection. Hope this will help you.or are you going to argue with the dictionary as well

Mr Snackette
.............Hope this will help you.or are you going to argue with the dictionary as well You really are from Norfolk!!!!! I certainly wouldn't argue with a dictionary, just the person that attempted to use it. There are many dictionaries and even more definitions. I would choose to use the following: "belonging to the same family, or group" The Marriage Act 1949 ( since amended ) is quite specific in that it is prohibited for related individuals to marry. It then goes on to specify those related family members that are prohibited. Whilst second and third cousins can marry legally, it is often frowned upon by the church and some medical opinion. So on balance I am very pleased that my parents were not related to one another, but if you take the contrary position, then so be it. It certainly explains a lot!!!! mickthemuppet
So your parents are not related by marriage. I think I have heard it all now. Anybody elses parents in the world that are not related by marriage except mr Snackette or perhaps Mr Wriggle. Give it up. Once again your are on a loser. Yes they are related by marriage, but they are not related to each other, which was the point I was making in the first place. As I said, before if you are happy with your family antecedents, then I'm delighted for you. However I do hope that you weren't the individual that I overhead on Compost Corner a few years back, " I'd like to you to meet my wife and my sister", he said ".......and here she is!!!!" lexi
In my opinion this looks a good side, the two aussies in reserve will be excellent to watch, they will improve week after week. Doolan may have had a bad season by his standards this year but will bounce back next year.

Baldyman
IT'S gone a bit quiet now the team has been released. SO if we could race last seasons team against next seasons , who do you think would win? I would say a 2 point win to last seasons at the moment
Mr Snackette
Seeing as four of the riders are the same, you can only compare the changes. Young Bjerre had three PL outings against North last season, with the Aussie finishing ahead on each occassion. The real question is how the reserves would fare against one another. From what I've seen Heeps is certainly should be capable of getting the better of Hart and Mills. I have yet to see Tungate in competitive action, so any comparison has to be entirely subjective, but based on his reputation he should at least be the equal of both Hart and Mills. So on paper it has to be the 2012 team. But as we have said before, very little is won on paper!!!!!!
Arch Stanton
I think you need to look at season finishing averages rather than how riders performed directly against each other. I don't think anyone will deny that Lasse Bjerre is a class above Dakota North and that's no criticism of North who is a talented rider in his own right. But the fact is before his injury he was struggling a little in the main body of the side after scoring heavily in a reserve berth. So the 1-5 are obviously a little weaker than last year. But the reserves look capable of making that difference up and some. Particularly away from home where both Mills and Hart were both generally poor. I think its handy that there are some warm up fixtures before the League campaign gets under way. That will enable the two reserves to settle in nicely before hopefully hitting the ground running in the League fixtures.
