Ipswich 2012

Recommended Posts

So the "Season Ticket" includes entry to 5 "North/South" matches, 11 League matches and a cup match. Thats 17 matches. Which at £15.50 is £263.50, So where are the other matches going to come from to make a season ticket worthwhile? Also fair to say that the team needs to be announced soon so to let people decide if worthwhile too.

On those prices i reckon Crump will be announced

Well if that's the case and we reach the finals of cup and play offs we could have 29 or 30 meetings next year. So is our season long enough for that many even without rain offs could easily be racing in November.

Have just noticed that there is a 10 pound admin fee if you buy your 295 ticket online, for some that may work out cheaper than traveling to the stadium.

Says on website more details on season tickets, in there it says a minimum of 23 meetings to be included?

In my original post, I reckoned to a minimum of 22 meetings. I based this on 13 League meetings, 5 "Trophy" meetings, 1 KOC meeting, 1 Challenge, 1 Star of Anglia, and 1 Sixteen Lapper. In his email to season ticket holders, CL says there will be a minimum of 23 meetings, so I make that £12.83 a meeting.

Given that the Witches have a successful season, then there could be another four meetings ( 3 further KOC + "Trophy Final" ), then it would be 27 meetings making it £10.93 a meeting.

For some only league fixtures matter, and I must confess I include myself in that number, then clearly the season ticket isn't for you. Particularly as the play off meetings are not included.

I'm not being negative as such its just my father is on a limited budget as is my mother. So saving the money with out knowing how much they need is annoying as you remember last year we had longer to save and more opportunities to purchase the ticket. Can't be negative as I'm on the supporters committee its just my dad isn't happy about not knowing the team before purchasing your ticket.

Last year's admission / season ticket announcement was made on the evening of 29th November. Given the events of recent weeks, I think most of us will understand a delay of seven days.

In his email, CL states that the "early bird" discount runs to 7 January 2012, seven days longer than last year!!!

I agree with the above post. Many supporters will want to know the team before committing to the season ticket (£300)

Ipswich will need to get the team out by the weekend if they wish to maximise the opportunity for season tickets sales leading up to Xmas.

When last season's prices were announced ( 29 November 2010 ), no members of the 2011 Witches' team were known.

This year we know three members of the team for sure, and have a pretty good Idea about some of the others. Last year the full team was announced on 8 December, and bit like the season ticket prices, if the team announcement is a few days later this year then most will understand the reason why.

Ok thanks. Shame as it would make it a little more tempting to me if it could be passed to a relative for the odd meeting i'm sure to miss.

Yeah I always thought that. I'm sure I'll miss a couple of meetings due to holidays or whatever & it would be good if someone else could make use of it.

I'm sure that many others would buy season tickets if this was the case. Most people if they can go on holiday in the summer and this makes a season ticket poor value. If you could lend it out then more would consider it. I know people would say that regulars would swop tickets as and when they were away and sure this would happen, but you would get loads more money up front and you would get loads more money of fans like me. People that love speedway, but hate the cold on the heath. There must be loads of meetings that take place that I miss due to the weather, each one is a buy lost.
