Ipswich 2012

Perhaps somebody could explain something to me like Dave Love who seems to know everything .

Believe me "Love" thinks he knows everything and thats why he comes across as aloof, pompous, conceited and totally self important in his own little cocoon of self belief :icon_smile_clown: . But believe me mick he certainly does not and like all old has-beens should be put out to pasture long ago

I would have thought the easiest riders to get hold of would be nl riders, so how about a handicapped event against nl select, ipswich minus 30 to 50 yards, 5 pound entry.

Come on Baldyman louis only charging £5 entry for ANY meeting is NOT going to happen :nono: . Even if we had an old grannies race in their wheelchairs the entry fee would be £15.50 :t:

Would the landlords charge any less rent (remember they put raised the rent just before the season started)? Eon (or whoever) less for the electric? No, I dont't think so.

Once again the Aljerk berates others, while trotting out the same putrid garbage time and again - hiding in anonimity instead of facing it's demons like any real meaningful creature would do. Gollum is a more attractive and soulful entity than the Aljerk ever could be.

And I'm more than happy to admit that I am full of self-belief, because there's not much point in existing if you're not. I'm also quite happy to offer my opinion, and also, more importantly, to consider those of others. If people take umbrage at my opinion, it is entirely their choice - and I take no responsibility.

....thanks for pointing that out!!!!!!!!

That about sums you up. They put a tribute meeting on for John Berry and that's all you come up with. :icon_smile_clown: If you read the article on the official site you'll know why it's Rye House.

Because if you bother to check the fixture list there are two elite league meetings and Jason Lyons farewell meeting taking place that night which take alot of the elite league riders out of the equation, plus with the gp two days later riders probably won't want the extra meeting so close. If you're not happy don't bother going!!!

You say John Berry was the greatest promoter, well stop disrepecting him by slagging off the meeting put on in honour of him!!

I actually started a new thread for this meeting in the individual section as I felt the John Berry tribute meeting mertited a thread of its own. With the bile that spews forth from one particular posters keyboard, I had hoped by starting a new thread that all the pathetic stuff could be avoided (and that's most defiinately not aimed at you Bash - I've just quoted your post because it's sensible (and realistic) :D )

IMO this is not a John Berry tribute meeting, just a filler with the name to try and attract some extra supporters. I can sort of see why Rye House have been used but why not add to the 2 squads with riders to enhance the meeting. A meeting that has the name John Berry attached to it should have more thought put into it. Why not have a team made up of local Suffolk based riders against a team of Aussies? Afterall thats what Berry stood for. I don't know about that weeks availablility but Nicholls and Lanham both live a stones throw away, Mills, Schramm live down the A12, Tungate, Tressarieu and North live together in Ipswich. Jacobs, Heeps, Blackbird are also local. Anymore?

Very sensible posting glad you agree with my sentiments about this pathetic meeting using the great name of John Berry just to try and attract fans to a meeting supposedly in his honour but in all honesty just another challenge against Witches nearest opponents in the premier league for cheapness sake to fill a date.

Im not being disrespectful to John Berry's name in the slightest but this pathetic excuse for a meeting in his honour certainly is, in fact its a damned insult to his good name.
