2ndbendbeerhut
Maybe its taken him this long to try and thread a needle with his good arm, so given up
Lovey
His accident was how many weeks ago? You may be right although a bit strange to tweet that now several weeks after it was cut off. The simple answer was to ask, so I did, and the reply is that he will wear his own suit .

Baldyman
Does anyone have any idea if either Taylor or morten are anywhere close to making a comeback? This is where I shall make a comment that some won't like, and say I only think rr should be available for one month or a certain amount of meetings. If the injury period is any longer you are expected to sign someone, even if it is only an injury period signing. The 1 to 7 is not changed, so you have the added advantage of receiving the injured rider back, or make the change to the 1 to 7 if the replacement is very good, or the injury is a lot longer in healing than first thought. Baldyman
So if that is the rules, how come we are still using rr ?
Tsunami
So if that is the rules, how come we are still using rr ? Other factors like availability in the market, and possible impending return from injury, being the usual type of reasons. The days of season long R/R are gone. Im not sure we can bring back Morten in place of Taylor. I thought that any rider left out of a redeclared 1 to 7 could not return to the line up that year. This may be different in this case given it was due to injury and not just being dropped.

It is not the case that the rider cant come back in, but he needs special dispensation by the MC to do so. This is to stop fiddles which used to go on some time ago. Paul Bentley and Berwick comes to mind.

The wonders of 'special dispensation' - could speedway function without it!??

Ipswich Jules
Others factors = special dispensation I'd say that we did get special dispensation as we lost two riders on the same night so were tasked with filling both places within a month, one rider would of been achievable but a second would of been a bit of a big ask so probably were allowed a slightly longer R/R function than a month. Just speculation / common sense thinking on my part thoough, I need a lie down!
Lovey
Good to see Morten Risager practicing at Foxhall on Thursday. He was at Lakeside helping Freya and Chris Louis with sales of the #RICO t-shirts and said that he hopes to be riding in a few weeks. He has only just been given clearance by the doctor to get back on a bike. Not sure how many competitive racing opportunities he will get (Danish League?), but I guess he will be doing laps at Foxhall after matches and probably at Mildenhall too. Baldyman
Pretty amazing recovery when you think about it. We certainly need him back, cos on his day he can win races and at the moment that seems to be where we are having problems.
Bigtimbers
Soooo fellow speedway fans, who do u think will get the final spot in the Ipswich team when Morten and Taylor comes back from injury??
Baldyman
Well morten is already starting to do some laps, so you would have thought it would be him. Haven't heard anything about Taylor. If Taylor doesn't ride for us again this season, will that be the last time we have seen him wear a witch in his career?
Bigtimbers
I think Taylor should be given his place back in the squad! he's young, exciting to watch and has great potential for the future. Afterall he is the Australian under 21 champ. Just my opinion though.
Arch Stanton
Agree with the post above. Poole is the better rider and has more potential. But he won't get it over Risager for non speedway reasons. In my opinion.
