Guest compost
Many thanks for all the information. Does anyone know where I can find a list of the pre-war World Championship, quailfiers. The Bamford book 'Speedway The Pre-War Years' has team lists for 1929 as well as pre-war Star Championship & World Final results, if that helps ? Have you tried emailing the Speedway Researcher as I'm sure they had pre-war details (although I think they may have been in the 'Year' section which has not yet been updated) ? Cheers. norbold
None of the "Star" riders rode for any teams in 1929 (at least not until almost the very end of the season). I thought Robbie was asking who the riders he mentioned represented in the 1929 Star Riders' Championship.

I believe the Home Riders Final was held @ Wimbledon on 21/10/1929 , but not 100% certain. The Overseas Final was held @ Harringay between Frank Arthur & Vic Huxley, probably prior to 3rd October, but I cannot find the actual meeting dates.
