Jayne
Weather is currently a little overcast with some sunshine so shouldnt be any problems. A tough match in prospect for the Hitmen with the Saints tracking a strong side despite the absence of Richie Worrall and Ashley Birks. John Oliver makes his debut for the Saints whilst r/r is in operation for Richie. The Hitmen are at full strength.
montie
I hope the mighty saints can get all the points form this but Buxton will be a tough one on there home track, could be close
Jayne
Getting a few enquiries about whether this meeting is on so thought I would confirm everything is OK here. If anything changes then I will update on here. Weather is dry but overcast.

IronScorpion
If the updates site is correct, Stoke refused to rearrange to ride today as they were missing ONE rider, Lambert & we said yes to get meetings out of the way missing THREE riders, R Worrall, A Birks through PL duties & S Nielsen through his 7 day ban through concussion. This is where the sports rulers should get a grip of things. But, then again, it is Speedway. No wonder people struggle to follow the sport or try to encourage new followers. Not sure about the Stoke situation but Sheffield were always scheduled to race at Buxton today although they did agree the PL fixture at Newcastle this week. Looks like Birks will be missing again tomorrow now,the saints now need to dig deep and re-group and take full fire power into the play offs, where if they can go in full strength, they will match anyone
Fozzie4388
Got told earlier that Oliver is riding for Workington tomorrow again now. Gonna be in a right state the Saints team tomorrow at this rate if Birks dont ride.
junior fan
What i cant understand is how if both Birkes and Worral and a reserve missing Scunny still had only one rider absent from there normal top five and used r/r and a 3 point rider at reserve. So are they an eight man team and just replace whoever they please. Either way it was a spanking, they lost by 22 points, used both of there tacticals and one of the replacements top scored, you might need to look at other things. Buxton were just the better team on the day, give the riders some credit. Junior Edited August 28, 2011 by junior fan

What on earth are you talking about! Stoke are top of the league and would have given there right arm to ride against a make shift Newport team that would have ended in a cricket score without Lambert. Halifaxtiger
Hope Adam Kirby makes a full recovery from the hand/arm injuries he sustained at Buxton today. Had a text from his Dad about half a hour ago and he's broken a bone in his hand . He's still at the hospital but it looks at the moment as though that is it. Stoke are top of the league and would have given there right arm to ride against a make shift Newport team that would have ended in a cricket score without Lambert. Also, Stoke wouldn't have just impacted on Stoke...given that Pickard guested for Mildenhall and Sarjeant guested for Newcastle. Also, Kurtz would have been unavailable... Either way, no idea if there is any truth in the rumour at all!

vog
Newport?? do you mean Buxton?? I think on the updates it was inferred that Stoke did not want to rearrange last nights postponed meeting with Newport for tonight...
roguetrader
Newport?? do you mean Buxton?? Vog has answered the question. Iron Scorpion is just disgruntled because Scunthorpe lost. Scunthorpe will be in the play offs. We may see you in the final. The problem you have with your team is who will be available??
