DukesGreg
http://www.speedway-stats.co.uk/Track/17.aspx That stats suggest the title is Shanes. Stats are even more in his favour. Away riders tend to have a white/black helmet ride too in the figures, giving an artificial average. PLRC, scratch races, 3 points, no variations. spanner47
The qualifying format of these League Riders Championships is and always has been the top-average rider from each league team, plus the next highests in the league to fill the 16+2 places. It started in the '60s with the Provincial Lge, the original PLRC. http://speedwaychampions.com/Trophies.aspx Very true, and it's worked for years. Except this year we have rolling averages, and unfortunately this means the best rider from Ipswich wont be there. If you change the rules for averages, you should change the rules for these meetings. The fans who travel from all over the Country deserve the best, but they aren't going to get it. tigerblues
Might be behind the times here but just looked on BSPA site which now shows Jason Doyle at 1 and no Chris Neath. If that's right Doyle could do well here.. think he finished 2nd in 2008 when Tai won if I'm not getting mixed up.
