Yet we wouldn't have heard the last of it for months had he won!

Was nothing wrong with him before the meeting. He couldn't be arsed!

Yawn.

Didnt know you were alive after the lack of response after we gave your lot a double drubbing home and away a few weeks ago!

Thought this thread was about the PLRC?

Not like you to go off track now is it when a nerve has been hit!

No nerve has been hit... Gjedde had a shocker, it happens. Whether he didnt fancy it or he was injured, I do not know. All riders have their off days, just glad it was the PLRC and not a league or KOC meeting.

Congratulations Sam Martin. So glad Ricky Ashworth didn't win it. To have him twice PLRC champion would have been a nightmare. No way he would have ever won it had it not been held at Sheffield IMO.

Yawn....

Well if its held at Sheffield next season I won't be attending.

Simples!

I won't be attending wherever it's held, simples.....

We had a predict the top 6 in the pub before the meeting, and I can tell you that only 2 out of 24 entries had Sam Masters getting into the top 6, and no one predicted that the lad would even get into the top 4.

Someone put him down for 2nd  (no, not me!)

Worst £20 I've ever spent. Considering going to the NBT meet up next year then going home to watch the updates. Thank fork for the awesome fans that turned out today. From 12 noon until chucking out time the banter/conversation was top class. It's just a shame that the main reason we all turned up for was absolutely crap.

Heard 1 or 2 riders views on the track after the meeting, too - seems nobody in the stadium liked it!

Well I had a excellent weekend.Shame it was spoilt by the lack of track action.

I also met so many new friends at the New Barrack. If I wasnt introduced to you,I was the one in the Poole Speedway t-shirt.

Especially good to meet up with The Saint,King Jamie,Thirdman,Paulco and Bluejam. :approve:

Lemo posted....Track was super grippy on the outside bordering on dangerous and very slimey on the inside meaning you had no chance unless Gated off the inside gates....I never noticed them doing any work to the track up to the interval, is this the norm?? A few riders straightened up into turns 2 and 4, having to knock off the gas and giving us the only passes of the meeting.

Ps. Are the security guards who patrol the yellow lines always,<removed>... Hard lad with the blonde hair, said to his mates next to us, that he just wanted to knock someone out,so preceeded to hassle people who were an inch or so on the lines, Due to sheer volume of people..that hard he called for back up when told where to go lol..no people skills what so ever and probably a dirty pair of kegs!!

I personally don't find Sheffield a very friendly place to visit at all.

Also having attended about 10 meetings this season I think I've only seen one decent one. That was the visit of Ipswich. Talk about home track advantage ..............

Leicester might have their problems, but I would rather go there than Sheffield. Horrible place.

Captive audience nowhere else to park £2 = rip off

£4 Programme = rip off

What's happened to Sheffield? Call that a racers track...rubbish

£46 plus half a tank of diesel down the drain

PLRC for me used to be the best meeting of the season but they got that badly wrong on sunday

Doubt I'd go next year if its at Sheffield

Thought the meeting was poor, and I would argue that the rider of the night was Nemo, who was harshly excluded for first bend bunching. Great turn out from the Leicester fans and nice touch by Nemo to pop round and thank us for our support. It appeared a gaters track all meeting but we did send a gater. Thought the crowd was light and baring the Berwick fans near us appeared mostly home fans, obviously waiting for an Ashworth victory.

Next year hold it at an EL track thats central - hate to say it but Coventry would be the obvious answer (providing its not a Waitrose/Morrissons/Sainsburys/Tesco or Asda by the end of next season as it will be a bugger to miss the tills on the third bend.)
