You have now clarified the situation that although you don’t recall having anything to do with speedway after about 1962 you did attend and take photos for a job assignment And it was only the fact that it was a job I went to a place featuring noises bikes going round an oval shaped track. I also include football (CrystalPalace, Charlton, Millwall), rugby union (Blackheath), international athletics at the National Sports Centre (Crystal Palace) among sporting coverage. Not interested in any of the sports - just being paid for a photographic job.

I have explained my confusion and you have clarified the situation. As far as I am concerned the matter is closed That type of language will only earn you yet another ban I fear Don't you mean 'I hope' rather than 'I fear'? I always felt that while he never quite reached the level of some of the other Russians, he was actually a much better - and much more complete - rider than most. So, do you remember any of the other Russians from the 60's, like Boris Samorodov, Yuri Chekranov, Gab Kadirov, and Vitaly Shilo? I also remember seeing a rider named Vladimir Sokolov top scoring for the Soviet Union in a test match against Great Britain at Wimbledon in the mid 60's, outscoring his more famous teammates.
