2 Bad Crashes At Wroclaw Sunday 14th August

Recommended Posts

Firstly Tomasz Jedrejak crashed but amazingly rode again http://sport.tvp.pl/zuzel/speedway-ekstraliga/druzyny/betard-sparta-wroclaw/wideo/grozny-wypadek-jedrzejaka/5090241

Then Piotr Swiderski had an awful crash http://sport.tvp.pl/zuzel/speedway-ekstraliga/druzyny/betard-sparta-wroclaw/wideo/fatalna-kraksa-kapitana-betardu-sparty/5090453

Chris Holder was involved in both but couldn`t be blamed for either.

Those crashes are horrific. ohmy.gif

Holder did do a naughty left turn on the home straight having looked for Jedrejak mad0025.gif but was blameless for the crash on the back straight.

Some good news (relatively) on Swidders' website. He has a broken leg and rib but appears to have otherwise got away quite lightly.

We have received the positive messages about the health of Peter Swiderski . The study did not show more complications in addition to previously confirmed fractures. Peter is heavily battered, but psychologically it feels very good. Swider greets all who support him:"I would like to sincerely thank all the fans for their support and words of encouragement in these difficult times".

According to the latest information as a result of today's accident in the course of the eleventh meeting Betard Sparta Wroclaw - Torun Unibax Piotr Swiderski suffered a fractured left leg and probably has a broken rib. However, studies are underway, but about the player's health will keep you up to date.

Bjerres fault for Swiiders crash yet he was back in the re-rerun

I watched it and whilst Bjerre drifted out from the inside gate it was just one of those first corner domino effect crashes and poor old Swiderski came off worst. I don't think Bjerre did anything wrong, and there was certainly nothing intentional. Bjerre was in the re-run so the ref saw it that way. It was a sickening crash and there were real fears initially, especially when we saw the reaction of people gathered around the ambulance in the pits. The mood was really sombre. Bad as it is, he thankfully will make a recovery and hopefully will be back next season. As i remarked yesterday, "Thank goodness for air fences".

Regards. Alan.
