How could he wear such a thing??????:P

I never think hockey jerseys look very flattering as daywear since they are made to fit over 4000lbs worth of padding. On my Adonis-like 145 lb frame  my Pittsburgh Penguins jersey makes me look like the Michelin Tyre man  Whose jersey is it by the way?

Best Wishes. Alan.

You are so right. Some things you just do for a job and or money  It would take a hell of a lot to get me into a Rangers or West Ham top

But i wouldn't mind joining Alan for a Penguins v Flyers game...do they have picnic tables at the hockey?

Oh i must check the fixtures then :drink:

You are welcome any time. This residence ALWAYS offers hospitality to speedway fans.

Seriously, the NHL does play one game outside- i think it is on New Years Day. I think last year it was in Pittsburgh at the Steelers football stadium. They flood the pitch and let Mother Nature do the rest. I think they got 50,000 and most were "very happy" by game time. Budweiser's shares took a leap that day anyway :drink:

Can anyone fill me in on Victor Golubovski? I don't recall ever seeing him before. Serious contender today?

Can't offer much.

26 year old. Races for Rawicz in the Polish lower division and Salavat in the Russian league.

Nothing in his background suggests that he should be a contender in this match, but you never know...

Yes i read about this Alan. They were thinking of doing the same here at the Hamburg football stadium as we had one of the best supported hockey teams in Europe. But i think the costs were prohibitive  ...and the team geos from bad to worse each year....

I'm sure it didn't come cheap, but with TV money and sponsorship ( and i'm serious about Budweiser) i think the NHL ate any losses to raise the profile of the game. Here in the USA hockey ranks a very poor 4th in the ratings, behind football(US style) baseball and basketball. Now in Canada, where i used to live it's a different story- there it is a religion outpacing Christianity, Catholicism and everything else combined

Regards. Alan.
