Robbie B
Just checked my Sky TV guide. And guess what? threre's no live Swedish speedway again next Tuesday night, due to them showing football again. Speedway is listed as being on, at 9pm (at the moment), so I will be cancelling my subscription, once the Swedish speedway season has finished. That's two weeks in a row now, that there's been no live Swedish speedway on your channel. Why did you advertise that 24 of live Swedish speedway coverage, if you weren't going to show it, a total disgrace I reckon. it's the only reason why I subscribed to your TV channel, I personally feel cheated. Anyone know of any live Swedish speedway feed, on the Internet, for next week? Edited July 21, 2011 by Robbie B

manchesterpaul
We've been discussing this since Tuesday in the last Swedish thread when it was first switched to delayed coverage. However, i'd prefer a distinct thread anyway, so i'll re-post my comments from a couple of days ago. The opening lines of Premier Sport's raison d'etre Premier Sports TV was formed in 2010 to primarily facilitate the broadcasting of sporting events that have been ignored by other broadcasters but have a very strong core following. Therefore, it's extremely disappointing to see that they have removed Speedway from a live slot to a delayed recording in order to show that most shown of all sports Football. To compound the annoyance is the fact the match they are broadcasting is a pre-season friendly! I suggest as many fans as possible who subscribed to the service because of the LIVE Speedway make their feelings known via their email, Facebook or Twitter contact points. If nobody bothers to they'll not think twice about replacing live Speedway in the future for any old meaningless Fooball game. Despite complaints on their Facebook and Twitter pages about live Speedway being bumped off........if has just got far, far worse. Glasgow Rangers Champions League qualifying ties on TUESDAY 26th July and TUESDAY 2nd August are to be broadcast live on the channel! Same here normally they reply to emails very speedily. I've not had a reply. I sent my query/complaint in before i had heard about the two upcoming Rangers matches being added as well. Will be a shocker if we lose live coverage the next couple of Tuesdays too. The two matches concerned are in the Champions League qualifying so way above pre-season friendly level. Too make matters worse they are showing a Rangers friendly match on Saturday DELAYED at 10pm. Why couldn't they have done that with the Speedway clash. As i mentioned in my first post, what makes it so bad is their abandoning their whole reason for being in existence, opening lines of their channel statement
Robbie B
I did know manchesterpaul about the other thread, as I have posted on there. But I thouht that it deserve a thread, of it's own, as it was taking over, the other excellent comments about Swedish speedway, that Ghostwalker and Anders were posting on. I do hope that everyone is happy, with this. Edited July 21, 2011 by Robbie B
gmuncie
I rang them today to cancel due to how they were mucking the speedway about. The guy I spoke to was very apologetic informed me that after the next 2 weeks they have no other interruptions to the speedway planned and they have given me the next 3 months half price (very handily pretty much the end of the season) Worth a call for anyone else who subscribes solely for the speedway I would say. On a sidenote whatever happened to them showing polish speedway? It was rumored that they were gonna start showing it on tape delay on a Monday night. If I remember the commentator even mentioned one Tuesday they were negotiating a deal

I can't be bothered claiming the half-price myself it's not the dearest channel i subscribe to. Also, i originally signed up for when they took over the Nascar coverage. Speedway, Mixed Martial Arts and Football from South America have been welcome bonus additions for me. I'm presuming/hoping that the Polish speedway will commence at the play-offs??? Although any league rounds preceding that would be welcome. Certainly a lost opportunity if the rights holder is trying to squeeze a few more pennies as to why we have not seen it on our screens so far. spanner47
Whilst i fully agree about the principle of Premier sports advertising live Speedway then changing their minds. Does anyone actually watch it live? I get totally bored with the same old advert, and as there's no interviews or any interesting talking, i couldn't possibly watch it live anyway. I just flip through to the start of each heat then watch the replay if there's any decent racing in it.

speedwaysouthampton
I agree Robbie. We only took out the subscription for the swedish speedway and feel it is actually a pretty poor presentation for the sport at the best of times. Watched last night's programme at 10 pm (had to record it as we were out) and the programme seemed to finish before the result of heat 14 was given! Maybe if we had been watching it "live" (if a recorded programme can be said to be live!) we could have got the result. Being shown again today - hopefully we'll get the result of it then. But I hope the whole presentation improves as it is pretty useless without any information as to who is riding before the meeting starts - I know we're spoilt with Sky Sports coverage, but it is pretty basic, and I don't think the "commentator" is even at the track!
