I,m only stating what the Poole Stadium manager said after last years play off final. The figures you mention are from the distant past when additional accommodation had to be installed for the WCF and the Mark Loram comeback is just a make believe figure, dreamed up by someone like Shovlar I suspect, that was never officially announced.

I got the figure from the media...

2,500 crowd. Some people really make me laugh! The grandstand was far from full save for about the first three rows of each block. There was no more than about 100 standing in front of it. More imaginary crowd figures from the Poole faithful.

I'll have to severely reprimand my BSPA source for the incorrect info about the fence at the mornings Practice session if it indeed it was the Robins fence. Lol, not like a someone from the BSPA to get something wrong! Anyhow, let's just be thankful it wasn't Poole's normal, non FIM, Poundland fence, otherwise Gustafsson and Loktaev could have been in a real mess!

I defy anyone to suggest that there were more than about 3 decent races. Pawlicki-Andersson, Ward-Andersson and... can't even remember who was in the 3rd decent race! Any other passes ocurred up the back straight when inferior riders were clipping the fence on the exit to the 2nd bend. It's all there on the DVD folks. No need to make believe that a meeting was entertaining when it wasn't.

You did get one thing right. I did drive home annoyed as nobody in their right mind would have wanted to see the jumped up arrogance of Ward pass the post first. Lol, wonder why he's a favourite of yours?!!

I've never seen you celebrate as much as when Pawlicki fell off either. Showing your class at every opportunity.

Haha :D And who had the tantrum yesterday? Though I have nothing against good riders like Pawlicki as they are good to watch. Shame some Coventry fans don't feel the same towards Darcy and are just jealous of how good he is.

well just woke up after a long weekend away with kitch, allthough it was an excellent weekend and what a meeting it was, these guys give 1 milion % ,ore effort than experianced riders, young boys dont give a dam they just go for it and it always provides excellent racing which yesterday showed. shame so many reserves was out there as made races to predictable at times.

deserved winner in ward but janowski and andersson where brilliant to, jonawski was the quieter one as he just gated and went everytime but andersson had some great battles first with pawlicki and what a race it was till pawlicki fell over trying and then with ward,

t6rack was really good at 1st but slickened off, are you not allowed to water track midway through a FIM meeting?????

VACULLIK - bit dissapointed with him, expected more but just wasnt gating

ANDERSSON - excellent to watch, a real racer, used is track craft well, lucky to be in re-run of run off as fell on his own

HART - out of his depth, dont know why team GB bum him so much

DUDEK - sharp out of gate but rode some weird lines but was his 1st time there, showed why belle vue should be looking at him, was he lucky in heat 16 or wasnt he, hard to tell from where we was sitting,

P PAWLICKI - just as good as ward if not better at this age, this guy is a star for sure, many world titles going his way for sure, coventry have a gem on there hands there

GUSTAFSSON - was my dark horse pick but only last 1 ride, horredous crash, hope you get better soon, 6 weeks hes out for

ZMARZLIK - yopungest rioder in field and his score doesnt show how hard he raced, was most entertaining rider on show, he is a harris like gater but races his bike to the max, yes wild and out of control at times but worked for him, in heat 16 dudek left a massive hole up inside so he stormed up inside of him and sent him wide but dudek fell, now i though there was no contact but soon as zmarzlik got passed he look back and give up and seemed peed of with himself which made me think maybe he felt contact, would be good to see a replay though,

LOKTAEV - passed on the line in his 1st race then took out gustafsson which meant good night vienna for him

MJJ - not as good as the reports suggest, we all know he can do it but seems to be having a bad year, he was really only beating the reserves and he was out of control most times to, not smooth for a dane

SHAMEK PAWLICKI - ok night, his brother showed him the way round poole

KOVACIC - my fav rider and he diddnt dissapoint without ever being spectacular, lucky though that there was so many reserves in meeting

HAINS/WORRAL - hains scored alot of points whilst being poo, how i dont know, worral well of pace barring his last ride which was good

so onto denmark for round 2, can ward hold the league or as he blown it by failing to get a max which i think he might of needed, i would say jonawski is now favourite with ward 2nd

crowd was about 2500, and the racing was very good, why people sau otherwise is beyond me, i enjoyed it like 99% did, obviously the 1% being CB252 and 190557

Not much more for me to add from Phil. Fully enjoyed it. Hats off to Ward, Janowski and Andersson though only dropping one point and that was to each other, Ward beating Janowski, Janowski beating Andersson and Andersson beating Ward. Other than that all 3 of them untouchable. Shame for Zmarzlik as his point tally should be double what it is and should be just behind Vaculik and Jepsen Jensen in the standings, but he has 5 other cracks at the world U21 after this season so this is for experience for the young lad, has done well to get to the final and only 1 point less than Ward in the semi I think. Piotr Pawlicki is sensational though for his age can't wait to see the likes of him and ward in the gps in 5 years time when they are challenging for titles with Emil and Holder, and Ward an Piotr Pawlicki will both become that good I have no doubts.

This meeting offered so much but delivered so little. It was an average meeting at best. Darcy was the best rider on show by far and would have had a maximum if it weren't for the random raking that took place to make the outside very patchy, they seemed to rake loose dirt into random places.

Vaculik and MJJ both failed to live up to the hype and Vaculik almost went into the backstraight unassisted - this almost happened in practice as well.

Andersson punched above his weight in this meeting but rode very well on the day.

Piotr Pawlicki is absolutely brilliant for a 16 year old and will go on to big things if he continues his progress.

A couple of poor refereeing decisions to firstly not exclude Dudek when he fell after a clean pass and then to award the race - can you award FIM races? Then to allow Andersson back into the re-run of the race off was poor as he just messed the first bend up. Przemyslaw Pawlicki could have been excluded for the crash in heat 6 as I felt he moved right coming from gate 1.

Why not give Sundstrom an entry instead of a useless Brit.

Why give it to a swede in the UK?

No KKS IS a useless Brit

Jensen nowt special at Poole! - Updater Comments.

Hopefully MJJ realises that the Showground is a track that Danes do well at.

Correct, those were MY comments!

He looked good in my Wolves coat tho.

IF anyone went to the meeting.

Were any Elite League promoters there and which ones?

No idea, was too busy doing updates,

Lol, will be nice to read an impartial report from somebody who supports neither Poole or Coventry ;)

No neutral meeting report yet then. Good job I'm a patient fellow :D

Bagpuss, its coming

Have to say that the meeting didnt quite live up to its billing. Expected a much bigger crowd with such decent weather. But still a decent enough size crowd to be considered a success i guess.

Think there was plenty of effort by the boys as one would expect.

Was excited to see some of the names touted as future World Champs and possible EL signings. Some obviously stood head and shoulders above others. Already made comments on the update site so ill give my thoughts on the riders on show.

VACULIK - Didnt win a heat but was very much chasing for points and on back wheels to try pass. First time ive seen him ride so i thought he looked OK. Seems that he is likely to be heading for Poole anyway. Think he will be a great addition to the EL too.

ANDERSSON - was quick and used home advantage to the max. Had one hell of a tussle with Darcy in heat 14. Not sure if he was bunched in the final looked like he come down on his own to me.

HART - outclassed which was to be expected.

DUDEK - Expected a little more and was my tip for the rostrum, however the heat of the heat 20 power race was too much. Certainly looks a tidy little rider tho. Looked to have fallen easy in heat 16, thought Zmarlik had passed him fairly personally.

PIOTR PAWLICKI - What a classy youngster. Looks AHEAD of his brother at this stage. Naturally talented. If Cov manage to secure his signature then they will be title bound again.

To be honest if he does sign for a club in the EL he will be an amazing addition. Besides the expected top 3 he was my top highlight. And 16??? Poland have a bright future.

GUSTAFSSON - awful looking spill and not at all suprised he was withdrawn. Had a good scrap with Piotr in heat 2.

WORRALL - Had a great ride to keep the Poles behind him in heat 18. Otherwise was largely outclassed.

HAINES - Think he got better thru the meeting. Worked hard despite looking slower than some of the others.

ZMARLIK - Came to life in heat 16 but otherwise did little else.

LOKTAEV - very hard to judge but it was an awful smash with Gustafsson.

WARD - as expected really. Looked head and shoulders above the rest.

JANOWSKI - Excellent meeting for him. looked quick and committed. Although was well beaten by Darcy in his first race.

JENSEN - After all the hype i was hugely disapponted. Didnt look like winning a heat and looked slightly down on speed. I would still welcome him to the EL OR Wolves

SHAMEK - Should have settled for a safe 2nd in heat 6 but fair play to him for going for the gap. Have to say he is slightly overshadowed by his brother.

KOVACIC - went about his scoring fairly quietly and didnt do anything of note.

FAJFER - Another that did very little to impress.

Reserves - At least they got some experience.

Fingers crossed for the weather.DSL had a rain-off last night and the weather is supposed to be wet over the next couple of days as well.Nothing worse than travelling all the way up for a wet or rained off meeting
