speedcrazy
Despite the utter bullrubbish joker situation, the ridiculous machine doctoring and referee decisions, it was a good meeting. Utterly disgusted by the polish team. 5 obviously talented riders that felt the need to cheat.
Marmite
Every team got to use the joker so there was no advantage there Only as it turned out, and whilst Poland are worthy victors, the joker is just that, a joke. Can you imagine in football if a team goals 2-0 down they are allowed to play the joker that if they score in the next 5 minutes their goal counts for double. Was a great meeting and best result, but the joker rule is a joke when a rider 'appears' to lose points on purpose just to use it.

johnc
Nonsense. Take your time here, but I would love to hear what GP's (on a consistent basis) have been better than the World Cup Final / race off in terms of racing quality and atmosphere. Superb sportsmanship by Crump at the end.
BWitcher
Should have put Crumpy in heat 24 - Holder has a joker record similar to that of Scott Nicholls. Would have also given him the chance to tweak the set up for heat 25. Probably wouldn't have been enough because the Poles would have got 2nd twice but still flawed tactically. Heat 22 where they lost it, Batchelor should have slowed and let Kolodzej beat him. They could then have used Crump to replace Watt in heat 23. iNikeAguero
Trouble is, no other nation as the talent coming through like they do. Australia would smash them in Australia. Why is there never a World Cup event in Australia. If the final was in Australia, The Poles would get utterly smashed.
Blazeaway
Despite the utter bullrubbish joker situation, the ridiculous machine doctoring and referee decisions, it was a good meeting. From heat 9 on, it was clearly australia not wanting to give in that kept the race alive. Utterly disgusted by the polish team. 5 obviously talented riders that felt the need to cheat. Has a Polish plumber nicked your job or something? Utter nonsense.
Odds On
that was better than all this years GPs put together.

The only ones appearing to 'bend the rules' were the Aussies when Ward 'appeared' to decide if he could not score more than the Polish rider to make sure he lost. LaalDaveRacing
we keep comparing speedway to football, i believe the point in speedway, and the reason we love this great sport is there is no other sport like it
salty
Can't believe some of the bitter comments on here, there are really some people who don't like the Poles aren't there? Thought it was a cracking meeting, Poles came back so well once they'd sorted their set ups and got some more favourable gates. Gollob led by example as usual, his wins in Heat 9 and 10 being the catalyst for the Poles resurgence. Crump and Holder were excellent for the Aussies and Crump deserves a lot of praise for his sportsmanship in congratulating the Poles after Heat 24 and then combining with Gollob to put on a fantastic race in Heat 25. Batchelor impressive for the Aussies - who would have thought Darcy would have been their weak link? Swedes and Danes never got over their respective jokers backfiring. josietoms
Watt and the future world champion really let the Aussies down tonight.
Phil
Well done Poland, best riders to watch, always racers, world champions again. Won it clean and fair.
johnc
Thats because the World Cup is a TEAM event and it always generates more excitement than an individual one. Not disputing that BWitcher, the SWC seems to outshine the GP's (in my opinion) year after year whatever the reason.

BWitcher
When the racing is generally pretty close all meeting long.. then suddenly, previously ineffective riders are winning races by 50-60 yards against WORLD CLASS riders, all grouped tightly behind them, something is amiss. Within the rules, or not within the rules, we will never know as it is not, despite what some say here, properly investigated. The sport has too much lose for that. Unfortunately speedway is becoming ever more like Formula One where on the big tracks its a case of fastest bike wins more often than not. It makes me laugh when people rave about what a talented rider Gollob is, comparing him to some of the best of all time. He is nowhere near some of the great riders of the past. What he does have are the fastest bikes. Maybe but poland won both 24 and 25 so it would not have changed the final outcome !! We will never know, the pressure would have been completely different. I totally agree but the damn thing was there to be used tonight...and every team used it so no-one can say it wasn't 'fair'! The bitterness shown by some on here is totally pathetic...some people really need to grow up! POLSKA!!!
