Troy Batchelor

Recommended Posts

didn't he do the same thing in 2010 or 2009 ?

take the joker when you can, you may not get another chance

exactly. doesn't matter when you use it as long as you get the full value of it.

i've never understood the reasoning behind waiting to use it,it was clear to

most people that boyce missed a trick.

Troy and Tai are about the same to me. Both can be awesome but both can make silly mistakes.

Batchelor is a few years older mind.

Until Tai averages more than Troy in at least 2 of the major leagues, I think most people will realise that Troy is the better rider.

If Batch did deliberately get 3rd, so what, as he broke no rule and it's happened plenty of times in the past.

Back in the old style GP days where gate positions were determined by your finishing position in a previous race, hope that bit makes sense, plenty of riders slowed up to allow others go past. Tony Rickardson did it loads of times.

The other thing to remember, if it was deliberate, that it would have been on team orders. Not his fault, just doing as he was told.

Precisely.

The rule is that all riders must make a bona fide attempt to race. Yet we've seen it happen where riders used to drop points in GPs and World Championship rounds to get a better draw in the next heat/meeting.

Very good.

I hope you took my comment as a hypothetical situation, or are you assuming that, after watching Batchelor race for Australia, that I am stupid?

Has anyone seen Batchelor's scores in Poland this season.

He is always scoring 10+ every meeting and getting nominated for 14 or 15.

In his last meeting, 2,3,3,3,FX.

He beat Gollob and Nicki Pedersen x2.

Eddie Kennet scored 2 points in the same meeting.

Im not sure the aussies wanted to go straight through to the final, I think they would prefer to have the practice in the race-off.

As for deliberately dropping points, maybe the aussies have learnt from a couple of years ago when one of the Poles (KK I think), let Crump go past on the line, only for the Poles to be able to use a tactical joker (brought in Hampel) that cost the aussies the World Cup.

I have a question, how many tactical subs can be used?

1 tactical sub for each rider.

I'll leave you to figure that one out.

I thought as much.

Hence my withdrawal from this forum.

From the second I was born, I was named after a speedway rider (Greg Kentwell) of Halifax.

I always found speedway people to be friendly. Until today.

You, today, with your arrogance, have wholly ruined the myth to me that speedway people are a good bunch.

A sad day indeed.

Enjoy your goading and baiting and trolling.

Take a chill pill. The fact that you even had to ask whether it was a tongue in cheek comment or whether I thought you had watched Troy race for Australia and still thought he is British blows my mind. I would have thought it was obvious which one it was.

How?! Batchelor is better in all 3 leagues! Neither are world champion material but Batchelor is a better rider and the facts and stats back this up.

Usual Wolves bias from you, again.

And Troy is 3 years older and is still bearly ahead of Tai

Usual anti wolves bias.

Just ahead? Think you'll find in the two big leagues, Sweden and Poland, Batchelor is a different class to Tai.

And on 2011 form alone in the British EL, Batchelor is almost a full point ahead of Tai (0.90 to be precise).

Batchelor is a far better rider than Tai, at the moment. Will Tai ever become a better rider than Troy? Who knows. But ATM, Batchelor is by some distance a better rider.

Of course Batch was told to come in 3rd,the only prob he had was deciding how to to it,(i dont think he wanted to do it-he was told or persuded)ALSO how come AJ has got off scot free in chucking races,he was fully aware that sweden needed to finish second in that heat to be 6 points down but was clever enough to fool just about everyone.PLEASE go back and watch the b pedersen last bend overtake again.
