Polish Extraleague Play-offs

Recommended Posts

The Torun v Wroclaw meeting will not take place because of the injuries sustained last week.

I know that Wroclaw forfeited the match but should they have? According to the FIM GP rule book 077.1.4, "not other meeting can be staged at the venue 7 days prior to that date and until 2 days later." With the GP being in Torun on Friday and Saturday coming, the meeting should not have been allowed anyways.

Richard

The major issue is the condition of poor old Peter Swiderski and Thomas Jedrzezak who both have suffered mightily whilst entertaining us. Wroclaw, having lost the home leg and without 2 of their top scorers would have been on a hiding to nothing at Torun. I don't think anyone in Poland would give a monkey's bum about whether it was 5,6 or 7 days before the GP, nor would BSI. Torun is a magnificent state of the art speedway venue and it is a shame we don't get to see a meeting there today, but it wouldn't have been much anyway and our thoughts go out to Thomas and Peter and their loved ones. It is a dangerous old game this sport we love.

Respectfully. Alan.

What a surprise-Nicki Pedersen is better after his illness

Totally agree with you racers and royals I know one thing the panthers fans must be fairly thick skinned to put up with this and what the promoter thinks would be interesting to know personally I'd sack him on the spot on his return to the showground in front of the fans but I suppose that ain't gonna happen a double figure score in his next meeting and he will be a hero

Polish committments ( and the cash) come first, last and in-between . Until the UK goes to a fixed race night, it will continue. T'aint right, but it's a reality. UK ranks a distant third behind Poland and Sweden. And we'd better keep an eye on Russia too. I know all the responses-stadium rentals etc, but it will only get worse.
