turtle
You really should get some sleep. Clearly it doesnt agree with you. I am not going to stoop to your level of abuse. You obviously didnt understand my post. I will make it simpler for you.... Heeps was born in Australia but has a British Passport He is clearly a real talent with a great future and has produced some great scores. He is not a 3 point reserve. Well done to Mildenhall for securing him I am British and proud of it. I am passionate about the development of British riders. so heeps was born in australia and has a british passport??? does this mean that a british rider born in the uk can have an australian pssport? yeah thought not. just shows how corrupt speedway is. as matter of interest has anybody actually seen heeps passport? I'd be interested to know precisely how he is able to ride but I have had it on very good authority (not from anyone at Mildenhall ) that he is eligible to take his place in the NL. Have to say, though, that speedway's reputation for bent practices is so pronounced you can't rule something crooked out
tas
Was at Buxton yesterday our lads tried hard. The track was very wet and is a strange shape with a very tight 1st and 2nd bend. It seemed Lewis's bike had too much power and he seemed to fight the bike. I know the guys were disappointed to not get the win. I would like to thank Robert Branford who spent time talking to Mikey and let him get a pic on his bike. Nice when riders take time to do this. Also nice to win a 50/50 draw after years of trying. Great to catch up with some old friends and to see my adopted son again lol Was at Buxton yesterday our lads tried hard. RT, your entitled to your opinion, and i know we amongst others have differences in opinion over this, but id like to understand where you stand on it as an actual issue and not just specifically in Cameron's case or Speedway's case, i don't want to jump to glaring assumptions and guess what you mean, so im going to post the following questions, but you reserve the right to not answer them is you so wish it. You state that you are proud to be British, and clearly you are a very passionate person, which i have a lot of respect for but do you consider yourself to be just British or do you consider yourself to be English/NI/Scottish/Welsh & British? Do you think that contrary to current regulations & international legislation regarding nationality, i.e. dual nationality/citizenship, that the only way you should be able to obtain nationality is by being born in a country? If yes do you have an issue with all other people having >1 nationality or specifically just sportspeople? Do you follow any other sports within whether they are (team or individual) under GB & NI or the Home Nations? If so do you have as much of an issue with the system in place universally across all sports? (There are a lot of indivulas as well as British international teams in numerous sports that have individuals qualified because of dual nationality or gaining citizenship or grandparents that are British or have Nationalities of >1 of the Home Nations) Also if Cameron chose to declare himself for GB & Team GB, or any other dual nationality Aussie, would you have a problem with them riding in the NL? Or if you believe that a person may only represent there country of Birth would you have an issue with them representing GB & or Team GB? I think you will find that several riders born of British Mothers or fathers and born in the UK have both.
Cornishfisherman
Perhaps some of friends on the forum don't follow Cricket,All of the following are playing or have recently played in the England team, Straus, Pietersen,Trott, Kieswetter,Morgan.Dernbach,Prior- where do you think they were born ? Certainly not in the UK or to be precise not in England or Wales. Even in our own sport Mark Loram wasn't born in the UK. So all the argument about a little 15 year old who is entitled to a British Passport is a complete and utter waste of bandwith. Perhaps a little jealousy has crept in here. Really those who are trying to make arguments about the lad are making themselves look very foolish indeed. Baldyman
Slightly off topic but the lad has been mentioned on this thread, it's good to see one of our old boys making his EL debut for peterborough tonight, good luck to Mr Poole. If.YOu are talking about Taylor, then He has already made his elite debut for eastbourne earlier in the season.

Thanks Baldyman ,I bow to your superior knowledge there !, I assumed when the Panthers e mail said that he was making his debut then it reffered to his EL debut, but obviously it meant his Panthers debut, anyway he scored 2 so well done him.
