Have the Laguta brothers managed to obtain their visas in time after all then? Have they been confirmed to ride?

Incidentally, there will be MiniMax racecards for all of the meetings.

Suprised that Nicolai Klindt isnt included in the Danish team (possibly Hans Andersen too) while Adrian Miedzinski I would have thought would have been a better pick that Protasiewicz ... Kasprzak pretty fast at Monmore last night.

Watch Tai for GB .... he is riding very good and fast.

Well i hope all riders do make it.I have spent good money on seeing the best riders these countries can offer.I am also taking someone for the first time, and he is looking forward to seeing this top Russian ride.I been going on about Sayfutdinov to him for a while and if he isn't there it will make speedway look amateurish to him.

I'm intrigued to know what you mean by spent good money. Even if Emil & Gollob didn't turn up it would still be a better class of riders that we see every week for the same price of £15

I think when you spend your money and told what you are getting, you expect to get this.If these riders are not there we are not getting what we paid for.

Its a bit like buying a sony tv and then at matsui one being delivered your not getting what you paid for.

Also the embarassing bit for me is that i have eventually got someone from work to come(who's never been before)and told him the best riders from these countries will be there. What do i say if half of these riders don't turn up,oh that often happens in speedway mate.

Getting them out of the country after they beat us would be the problem! ;)

Serious question though.

Also, are Russia competing in the Olympics next year?

We had no problem facing them in a Euro 2008 qualifier on 12th Sept 2007. I'd imagine if we had to face them again soon we'd have no problems again.

So why the problems for the Speedway World Cup?

I guess money talks...

Has it been clarified as to who is to blame for no visas being issued in time for the Laguta's?

Is it the officials/staff involved in processing them or is it the riders or their managers who failed to allow enough time when applying?

If the Russians don't field full side they are robbing fans and Lagutas and Emil should not be allowed to ride in Poland at race off.

I do have some sympathy with Emil as he will be class as usual but with no support especially with Darkin and Bondarenko both struggling in premier league and would not normally be anywhere near a Russia team place . Emil must feel why should I bother with it
