Although victory would have been sweet, last nights defeat by 2-points was the closest we've ever got to the Islanders on their own patch.

The previous best was a 56-39 defeat which came last year, and with James Cockle retaining the Bronze Helmet too, should put the riders in a confident frame of mind as they take on Dudley this evening.

Following the torrential downpours and accompanying thunderstorms of yesterday, we've awoken to the beautiful summer weather that we were blessed with on Sunday & Monday, perfect for an evening at the races.

Both teams seem to have come through their respective encounters last evening unscathed, and both will be eager to record their first victory of the week.

Unlike our last meeting, where due to circumstances beyond anyones control, there was no Track Shop, this time it will be open, and has the brand new King's Lynn 'Young Stars' badges in stock. At this point in time, there is a very limited stock available, so it will be very much a first come first served basis. Priced at just £3.50 they will make a lovely addition to your collection.

See you at 7.30pm this evening.

Okay, so it is early in the morning and I'm still half asleep........or should that be half awake???

Deliberate mistake in my last posting was my comment about both teams wanting to record their first win of the week. The Heathens of course did just that last night, it was an aggregate defeat they suffered.

So before anyone says it, yes I'm a plonker, but a tired one.

nite, nite.

Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

With a little over 8-hours to go, myself, Bagpuss & heathen 79 are the only ones to have shown any interest in this topic/meeting.

Is anyone else going or will we have the Norfolk Arena to ourselves????

I'm at work about twenty miles from Lynn as the crow flies and its glorious, warm sunshine with only a few clouds around. I know there are showers forecast for later but they are supposed to be light and scattered in nature last I heard. Can't make it tonight unfortunately but hopefully the boys can bounce back from the Saints defeat two weeks ago and send the Heathens packing empty handed!

Okay DEATHBYMILKFLOAT, Heathen79 an Heathen1984

So it looks like you Heathens are going to double the amount of Young Star supporter in attendance.

You take the 1/2 and 3/4 bends respectively. I'll cover the home straight, and if Dale Allitt has his son with him, he can cover the back straight. SORTED.........let's go racing.

I'm 13-miles from the track and all is well weather wise. Have a good journey my fellow attendees.

Never fear, I'll be here.

For the first time ever I've attended every home meeting this season apart from 1 in the NL.

Mimmo, you're obviously a regular. Have the crowds picked up by moving to the Wednesday compared to previous seasons????

Well done to the Young Stars tonight. Hope Kerr & Campos ain't tp bad after their spills. As for the racing tonight it was pretty poor in all honesty. Make the gate, job done & more often than not the racing was well spread out
