home straight
Would there ever be a more popular world champion than Greg if he can kick on for his second title this year? Edited June 25, 2011 by home straight
sjw ministerofport
Couldn't wish for a better way to use my 1000 post than to wish Greg many congratulations on his win and as home straight said doubt there would be a more popular winner of the World championship. ImpartialOne
I felt he might not be able to sustain it going into this meeting, and certainly didn't expect Gollob to give as many points away as he did. This has set him up nicely now and I hope he does it. Would this be the biggest gap between World Titles? 14 years, it's almost another generation! Its clear the years since Cradley closed have mellowed my thoughts, but I do hope Greg wins the title this year! Never, ever thought I would say that back in the mid-late 90's!! BWitcher
He was always phenomenal around Wolves though, you have to admit. Of course. As was Billy Hamill. Wolves/Cradley clashes, now they would have made good tv for Sky. Seeing the 4 americans Ermolenko/Correy/Hancock/Hamill do battle was something else. And throw PK in there in the latter years too. Well, point 1; That's racist. Point 2, it's not a false grin, it's all his own and he is like that "in real life". Point 3, they're all on the "can bandwagon", if a company was throwing thousands of pounds my way I'd definitely say cheers to them on tv in every interview. crumpiefan
in answer to the question greg would be an enormously popular champion if he goes all the way this year. to not only compete in every gp to date but also to remain competitive at his age is such a credit to him and what a great guy, typical of him to mention leigh adams in his interview. hope he wins the title. george.m
Gollob is my numero uno, but now that he's won one, I would love to see Greg winning he fully deserves it for the number of years he consistently been amongst the world best! crumpiefan
Gollob is my number uno, but now that he's won one, I would love to see Greg winning he fully deserves it for the number of years he consistently been amongst the world best! for sheer talent gollob is undoubtedly the man but as you say greg will deserve it. there are still two gps to go in poland including gorzow so if push came to shove i would still fancy gollob to come through by the end. fingers crossed for greg though!
