TrueBee
Olly for Kennett is just silly. Look what happened when we picked track specialists at Brandon ( I think it was 08) at one point it looked like Czech might do us!

topaz325
Sorry bit off topic but just watched the "Bomber legend"...clip, still fires up all the emotions, thanks Truebee. If Steady and King were fully fit and in form they could also have been in the frame.....i know all ifs and buts.

You mean the guy who 2.5 years ago when still only an 8 point PL man went full time EL? There are a few things you can never accuse Barker of, one of them is having no ambition. I understand that Barker has also been called up to be track reserve at Cardiff along with a GP 2012 qualifier this weekend all seems strange for a guy with no ambition

NathanB
For me, Eddie Kennett is a better bet than Ollie Allen. If I was manager I couldn't leave Kennett out this year and I think Allen would be a gamble. He doesn't seem to have progressed in the last four years and I can't see him going any further than he is. Kennett has improved and matured and will probably be out and out number one in two or three years time and I fancy he will rise to the occasion at Lynn. I dont think its really about how much they can improve in the future, its about where they are now. As I mentioned before Eddie has had a tremendous season to date but he has never cut it at the Norfolk Arena. Olly is currently averaging 8.64 at the Norfolk Arena this season which would have led me to swing it in his favour. I can't even recall Olly having a bad meeting at Lynn this season so far and when he gates he is very difficult to beat.
samthepalaceman2
Bridger seems to be kicking up on Twitter after Barker being chosen ahead of him. Tbh Barker was always going to get the nod on current form and although I would've looked at Allen for the first round at Lynn. foreverblue
Bridger wouldn't even make the squad if i was manager, ask Peterborough how he goes on a decent big track.I would go with Danny King myself, rides Lynn well and seems to be coming into form. Bridger continues to show what a complete something something something he is on twitter. The lad has such a great talent which is just getting swallowed up by his attitude. It's such a shame. If he really knuckled down I'm convinced he really could be one of our best riders.

Bruiser McHuge
Bridger well out of order attacking Barker on Twitter and tweeting Scott Nicholls to have a go at Barker as well most people seemed to pick the 5 riders that eventually were picked and Barker really seems to have matured and greatly improved this year...he deserves his chance Bridger should get his head down and force himself into future squads on results ..something Barker seems to have done...this has done him no favours at all
Pinny
Barkers flying and is in much better form than Bridger. Whats his problem? Yet again, the guy is showing what an utter buffoon he really is. Your not good enough, get over it.

He also tweeted Lee Ricahrdson moaning about it and slagging off Ben too. Neither Scott or Lee rose to it though. He eally is deluded if he thinks he's earnt himself a place in team GB deary me

tigerblues
Is this the same Lewis Bridger who was moaning in the Speedway Star a couple of months ago about how he hasn't got any English friends in speedway and gets on with the Aussies much better? He really should just get his head down and do his talking on the track.

Just two weeks till Kings lynn and i've still not seen any news on the other countries expcted riders, other than the full Polish squad? Particularly keen to see who the Russians will bring as they are usually the most fun to watch and i'm praying i will finally see Mr Gizatullin despite some ropey form in Poland this year! Particularly keen to see who the Russians will bring as they are usually the most fun to watch and i'm praying i will finally see Mr Gizatullin despite some ropey form in Poland this year! As with Poland, Russia have only named their 10 man squad so far. Their 10 men to choose from are: Darkin, Gafurov, Gizatullin, Kharchenko, Kudryashov, Laguta x2, Povazhny, Sayfutdinov and Tarasenko. Hopefully the visa applications are already in or it could be a fairly weak Russian team. Darkin, Gafurov, Povazhny and Sayfutdinov are all sorted for entry to the UK already...I wonder if they would be allowed to add Bondarenko as a late replacement
HenryW
I see that Poland have now announced their team for Kings Lynn. Tomasz Gollob Jaroslaw Hampel Janusz Kolodziej Piotr Protasiewicz Krzysztof Kasprzak Interesting to see that Kasprzak has received a place. I really expected Pawlicki to get the nod ahead of him. Germany have also declared their 5 for the match in Vojens. Kevin Woelbert Max Dilger Tobias Busch Matias Schultz Tobias Kroner The obvious question around that squad is why Martin Smolinski isn't taking part.
