vog
Draw has been made as follows: GROUP A BELLE VUE (Jason Garrity and Kyle Howarth) HACKNEY (Barrie Evans and Shane Hazelden) KING’S LYNN (Jake Knight and Scott Campos) NEWPORT (Jay Herne and Todd Kurtz) SCUNTHORPE/ SHEFFIELD (Richie Worrall and Steve Worrall) GROUP B BUXTON (Adam Allott and Robert Branford) DUDLEY (Jon Armstrong and Kyle Newman) ISLE OF WIGHT (Nick Simmons and Rob Smith) MILDENHALL (Jack Hargreaves and Lewis Blackbird) STOKE (Simon Lambert and Tim Webster) (Thanks to BSPA site) Any thoughts? Anyone going? And anyone know what time it will start? For me, Stoke, Newport, Dudley all look strong.
roguetrader
For best pairs it has to be 2 riders from the teams top averages therefore Belle Vue and Kings Lynn are not correct!
Halifaxtiger
I'll be there at the end of a week long southern tour. Good field, with several pairs in the running.
21st century heathen
Newport are huge favourites for me. If any pairing can beat them then they will deserve the win. For best pairs it has to be 2 riders from the teams top averages therefore Belle Vue and Kings Lynn are not correct! I can't actually find anything in the rules about the NL pairs. Islander15
For best pairs it has to be 2 riders from the teams top averages therefore Belle Vue and Kings Lynn are not correct! Each club could pick which two to represent them out of their top 3 riders. For me Newport should walk away with group A, but in group B Buxton(edit: no Branford), Dudley & Stoke look strong, with Stoke just nicking it. Does anyone know if it's the group winners to meet in a final, like last year, or top 2 in each group into the semis, like the EL Edited June 11, 2011 by Islander15
Nutz
Surely there's a doubt over Kyle Howarths participation due to his injury that's keeping him from turning out for Belle Vue and Edinburgh at the moment???
marron
No Branford, he will be at Rye House. Confirmed on the Bears forum.

Pinny
On paper Newport should easily win this but the same was thought last year. Kurtz averaging 10+ whilst Herne is only averaging 8.5, but has been a 10 pointer before.
greyhoundp
Hmm, I think Stoke will nick it, cant see Armo and Kyle making enough gates to take this one. but good luck guys.

Main Man
Not a good weekend weather forcast MM, but lets hope they are wrong, still a few days to go. so do I mate!! Just looked at five different forecasts and hopefully the ones with some light rain in the day and dry in the evening are correct as this will produce a superb race track for the lads in what looks like being a cracker of a meeting looking at the line-up. Islander15
Is anyone going to this meeting that would be able to text results to the updates site? If so please pm me here or there. Thanks Main Man- Stuart Parnaby seems to think it's 2 semis plus a final, from the scunny press release: "Once you’ve made the semi-finals it sudden-death and anything can happen”.
