Organized Gp Tours

Recommended Posts

I'm thinking about going to Hamar for the final GP this year. Page and Moy are doing a tour I think and Your Sporting Challenge too.

Has anyone been on an organized tour with them or anyone else (Travelplus?), and if so what were they like?

Thanks in anticipation

I went to Bydgoszcz with Travel Plus last year and Katowice the year before. They're not cheap, for sure, but the organisation is superb and it's definately the best way to do a foreign GP if you don't want any of the travel/ticket/hotel hassle. Everything is sorted for you, plus they always throw in a few local non-Speedway excursions which are well worth doing. I can highly recommend them. I think their brochure is in this week's Star. And everyone is right...Bydgoszcz GP is fantastic. Cardiff doesn't come close!

Much cheaper if you organise the trip yourself though. Have arrange a GP trip to Prague, 3 nights accomodation & flights for around £150 each :D

Sounds exactly the kind of deal I got myself Wackie - only downer about the trip is having to get a flight at 0620 in the morning.

As I said on another topic it just adds to the fun organising it for yourself and you save a bit of cash as well.

I have just booked flights for our 3rd sorti to Prague. First was for the U 21 Final in 2002, last year for the Czech Golden Helmet and again for 2004. Costs to do this youyrself are

Stanstead to Prague with Easyjet £50

Taxi to Prague £7 each way

Train to Pardubice £0.80 each way

Taxi to track £5 each way

Hotel £15 per night

So I can do a 5 day trip for around £140

8 of us went first time, 14 last time and 12 in September

Oh to have friends that would tolerate such low-priced accomodation - last time we were in some £100 a night hotel for 4 nights in Prague.

At least this time it's looking like it might be down to £60 per night in Prague for the GP.

Word of warning Chris, Tomek is seriously contemplating the Golden Helmet weekend

Rico
