cometsfan2k4
I am toying with the idea of jumping on a ryanair flight over to Poland sometime maybe at the back end of July or sometime in August to check out a meeting over there. Just wondering where people would recommend visiting for the best speedway. I dont mind if they are the top devision or 2nd or whatever, just where is some exciting racing and plenty of other things to do for a couple of days in the area. Thanks in advance
pawel115
Poznan is the city i would recommend to go see ,plus there are lots of speedway tracks in close proximity to Poznan so you have plenty of choices.

Have to agree with Pawel.Poznan is quite central to many tracks,Leszno,ZG,Gorzow,Pila,Ostrow,Rawicz,Gneizno,Wroclaw,Torun and Bydgoszcz, all within a train rides distance. With the exchange rate around 4.30 zl=£1,you can't go wrong.A good link on sightseeing, eating and drinking, getting around can be found at:- http://www.inyourpocket.com/ Been 3 times myself in the last year, and can highly recommend a weekend in Polska. If I could go every week for a speedway meeting over there,I would! 2ndBender
Gdansk is pretty good too, with easy access from the airport to the city and the city to the stadium. The track's pretty good and there are lots of sightseeing options within easy reach - Malbork Castle, Sopot (for a day on the beach!), and even a boat trip to Hel! Then there's all the Solidarity stuff at the shipyards and some great bars and restaurants. Highly recommended, but then so is Krakow, Torun, Poznan....etc, etc!
