If this is right, wot a load of crap, team most local= Newport, team who would bring a good load of support = Newport, team who would have won it = Newport. qualification for this is laughable, BSPA = DICKHEADS

Agree with most you say, all teams should get a chance IMO AND any rider(s) who represents that team. As stated before there is way's to do it. screm
Surely it cant be beyond the wit of man to include every PL team in this meeting, seed some teams through to the main event then let the rest qualify through a mini-meeting. It looks like being another BSPA shambles.
eric i
Agree completely, it would only improve the attendance too.
BigFatDave
Not in the least bit interested in the PL Pairs this year. I would've been tempted with the pairing of Doyle & Frampton though... No, for me it will be a nice quiet Friday night at the Walkabout in Cardiff I'll be at the Pairs but there's an NL meeting at Newport; Hornets V Heathens, if you need a Speedway Fix, Shadders. Are you getting to Cardiff in time for the Practice?
Totti
We have to qualify first, not 100% sure we will make it. But with Doyle being superb around the OTA and Sedgmen in good form and also a rider who rides the OTA well, you'd have to fancy them to do well if they took part although Lanhams come into some form and the two meetings I witnessed at the OTA last year, Somerset Vs Newport in the PT and SBT, Lanham was superb and was passing the likes of Gathercole. You can also rely on a fair few Wasps fans making the trip over if they take part. There would be 4 of us going if the Wasps rode
Nutz
With only 2wks to go until the PL Pairs at Somerset, I guess it's a little too much to hope if anyone would know the contesting teams for the event??? Not that anyone would be attending of course!!!!!! How long will we have to wait for the confirmed line-up?

penchev
See my post above. Pass it on to BSPA. You never know they might just ignore it :-) It's beyond a joke now, 2 weeks until the biggest meeting before cardiff and still the teams aint announced! what a joke the BSPA are, even after the shambles with coventry and peterborough they still don't learn! supporters will probably be wanting to sort out travel arrangments for coaches or by car etc to attend this meeting and yes still left waiting whether there team is represented or not, Shame on you. lucifer sam
Really looking forward to this meeting. I guess Sheffield will start favourites. Even with Auty out, they have Ashworth and Parker, who are both so fast around the Oak Tree Arena. Shame the line-up isn't out yet. But it will be a cracker whoever is lining up. Pinny
Surely its in the best interests of the sport to include Newport's Doyle and Gjedde. Doyle would of raced at least 6 meetings for the Wasps by then, as well as around 10 for Rye House so has a valid PL ave and Gjedde will have raced at least 3 meetings for Newport by then and also had a valid PL CMA. Those pair would challenge for honours, leaving them out is daft. I agree all sides should be included, have a mini tournament before the main event. It includes 4 extra sides so more chance of more fans travelling.
lucifer sam
Surely the following is possible: two groups of four pairs and two groups of three pairs, thus allowing all 14 teams to be represented. Winners throgh to semi-finals. By my reckoning, that's 6+6+3+3+3=21 heats. All the best Rob

I've enjoyed the event for the last two years as a neutral but not sure I want to fork out for a PL event without my team in it. Really disappointed. lucifer sam
read the earlier post by topsoil Too many heats in Topsoil's proposal. They barely have enough time for the current 23 races before Somerset's curfew - try to put on 25 races and there would be a risk that the final doesn't get completed. But it's perfectly possible to involve all 14 teams in just 21 races, as I've outlined. All the best Rob
