cometsfan2k4
Managed it for the last three seasons.A lot of tracks have a curfew. Yeah I know, we have one too I was just thinking that 7.30 was quite late to start the meeting seeing as it is a long format. Hope there are no problems
SCB
Managed it for the last three seasons.A lot of tracks have a curfew. Really? I'm sure there was no 3rd place race-off 2 years ago and the final took place at 10.05.

Paulco
Weather forecast looks very dodgy indeed for Friday Wonderful . Getting to be an annoyingly recurring theme this month . Nevermind , i remember a couple of years back when there was monsoon conditions all around the Oak Tree Arena - except for an oasis of dryness over the stadium . One can but hope . cometsfan2k4
Well looking at the forecast this morning, it certainly seems to be clearing up. Metcheck had it as pishing down yesterday, but now only light rain from 7pm onwards, and MetOffice had it has heavy rain, but now sun up to the evening with light rain after that. Lets hope that it gets even better, I for one would be devastated if this is called off!
Starman2006
Still say if Sam and Cory ride to their potential they can win this. But their going to need to be at the top of their game!!

I find it incredible that Somerset are yet to win this event since it's been staged there . Just goes to show how fair a track it really is . lucifer sam
Is the clash with Glastonbury going to make the traffic even worse than usual, or should everyone be at Glastonbury by then? All the best Rob

All the best Rob I think all the dope fiends will be already rolling around in the mud by that time . The M5 will still be a nightmare no doubt though Well " prophets of doom " , how's the weather forecast looking now ?

The M5 will still be a nightmare no doubt though Well " prophets of doom " , how's the weather forecast looking now ? Heavy rain from the South West from about 4.30 pm onwards, spreading North-Easterly and eventually clearing - but probably too late for Speedway. Can't see Somerset or Newport being on. Bongo re edited on the other page and you ought to know to expect the unexpected in speedway ;) In the re edit I put Glasgow 4th. How glasgow do depends on how Grievesy rides the OTA, which in the past he hasnt done that well there.

Sorry, I didn't see the edit... I agree with you, a lot will be down to James, but in saying that, 50% will be down to Joe too and it will be a team thing really ...of course, the weather is looking nasty at present so if we get racing on at all, then we are all winners! Fingers crossed for an improvement to the forecast. Edited June 23, 2011 by BongoBrian

No worries, ah the weather will probably win over there tomorrow night..at least it could be dry in newport for the hornets v heathens match Glasgow will do better than most of the pairs there, Somerset will be fine but sheffield look by far the strongest pair there tomorrow night. I'm not so sure about Sheffield's perceived strength. They are stong, but Joe outclassed the Messiah in the live Somerset v Glasgow meeting last year and despite Parkers undoubted class, he never really shone at the OTA like he has done at Glasgow over the years & Ricky Ashworth is beatable round there. If there is anything you get with the pairs, then it is suprise packages also. Because it is only two in a team, if both guy's are firing, then underdogs can win the thing. I don't realy think there is any team competing that I would completely dismiss.
