Well I hope Bob does a good job on the track today as I was at the bangers last night and the track was decimated by the cars, infact it looked awful with pieces of rusty old cars everywhere. Good luck to all the riders and lets hope for a great safe meeting

Excellent performance by the Fen Tigers today, although sadly the bad crash and resulting injury to John Resch cast a shadow over the day, hopefully he will make a full and fast recovery :approve:

For Mildenhall everyone contributed to another good afternoon in front of another very good crowd, James Brundle and Joe Jacobs both going unbeaten whist Lewis Blackbird coped with the move into the main body with another blistering display.

He is a fantastic signing for Mildenhall and must be one of the, if not the, most improved riders this season at NL level.

Rob Smith and Nick Simmons did their best for the Islanders but it was never going to be a close contest.

Finally well done to Nick Laurence for the best performance I have seen from him since he first rode for Mildenhall in 2009! The 'comments' which seem to have offended some on here, certainly galvanised him into a positive response.

Yep Phil, agree with all your comments, I am not one of Nick Laurence's biggest fans, but if he produce's like that, I suggest the Management give him a "kick up the arse" every week.

Again here's hoping John Resch makes a full recovery from his injury.

K.K.

well done to the tigers a great display. Everyone chipped in and it was a true team effort. Well done to Nick he has had a tough time and was great to see him smiling. Think Joe Joe is back and rode so determined today. Lewis has coped well with the move up and I am sure will only get better.

Have to feel sorry for the isle of Wight as losing there reserve made it hard to get extra points and Naill tried hard but 7 rides is a lot to ask. Best wishes to John Resch hope he has a speedy recovery.

Difficult to find anything new to add to the above comments, agree with the general views of everyone regarding, Lewis, Joe and Nick, I would also add that Aaron Baseby was most unlucky to get excluded in heat 8 otherwise he would have had another couple of points, ditto Jack Hargreaves in heat 11. Nick Simmons stood out for me for the Islanders, he certainly never gave up once.Captains performance again from James Brundle with Daniel Halsey yet again coming back from a fall in his first ride to get wins in his 3rd and 4th rides.

Excellent crowd, which must have been 99.9% locals, and considering we had the very unfortunate lengthy delay with the injury to John Resch, to get the meeting done in just over 2 hours was commendable. Our best wishes go to John, it certainly looked a very high speed impact and not something anyone wants to see, but the medical team at the track certainly looked very proffesional in the way that they dealt with it, a very important group of people who tend to be taken for granted until something like this happens.

Shame today at Newport has been called off, as track time is obviously the best practice there is, and it would have been good for the riders to have had the chance to build on these performances, but hopefully one or two will still have that "point to prove attitude" against the Hawks next week.

On the Mildenhall website, it now says that John Resch will undergo surgery today to plate a double break in his leg, but other injuries are not as bad as first thought. Some positive news there at least, and get well soon John :approve:
