Mimmo
With the weather set to be good for this coming Wednesday, and little more to watch on TV than the National Movie Awards, then there can be no better reason than to come along to the Norfolk Arena for an evening of sheer splendour (Ye gods, 7.45am and I'm still under the influence!!) Winners of the League, Cup, League Trophy and NL Pairs last year, Buxton have every intention of trying to hold onto at least one of those pieces of silverware. The Derbyshire side have made a slower start to the campain than they'd have hoped, but with Norfolk Arena track specialists like Adam Allott and Robert Branford in the their side, the tide will surely be turned, which should make for an absorbing contest. The 'Young Stars' have made a good start to the season considering they've been operating with a six-man team, and gave a great account of themselves at Rye House (Hackney) on Saturday, despite the defeat. But with the signing of Scott Campos late last week thus bringing the team back up to full strength, gives us every opportunity to start climbing the league table. All 3-points on offer will elevate us to second place, just two points behind current leaders Hackney, and with your support, I'm sure we can achieve that feat. The action all gets underway at 7.30pm with admission prices set at: ADULTS £10 CONCESSIONS £7 JUNIORS (12-15) £3 11 & under FREE. So as you can see, you haven't got to break the bank to enjoy your National League Speedway in Norfolk.
Great Central
Mike, Can't fault your dedication to promoting NL racing. You should be on payroll at the NA!! Hope that some of the EL fans out there turn out to support the young local riders since they won't see any EL racing at the NA until next week at the earliest, but the trouble with this meeting is that I can't see anything else but a big score for the Young Stars. Yes Adam and Rob will provide some strong opposition, and Dean Felton can certainly score more points than his average suggests but the Stars team just look too strong for Buxton this time round. Having just been to Rye and Mildenhall with the BV Colts, what you do get with NL racing is action, commitment and some excellent racing from the youngsters and it is just a pity that a lot of people can't see that this is where our stars of the future serve their apprenticeship. Yes some may struggle at times but they all have to start somewhere. Martin PS Excellent crowd at Mildenhall yesterday so can imagine the local derby next week will increase their crowds somewhat. Hi Martin, Even if I agreed with you about it being a big win for the Young Stars on Wednesday, that wouldn't be the way for me to try and promote the meeting. Come along on Wednesday and see the Young Stars slaughter Buxton, as they are so poor this year, they haven'y got a hope in hell. Don't think it would work do you? Positivity is the name of the game, and I'm sure the 'Hitmen' will push us all the way Hope you're well mate, and that Chris is enjoying life with Belle Vue. Take care Mike
Great Central
Mike, I totally agree, and there comes a time when a team starts to click, and after a slow start, Buxton could do just that this week. There aren't too many riders that go better round the NA than Adam Allott and riders struggling fo find form at home on the hills above Buxton may well find the open NA more to their liking. Whatever happens, the riders will give their all, something that is not always seen in the higher leagues of speedway. Martin
semion
I had my first taste of 3rd tier racing this season at the Lynn v Mildy and as The Elite League will not be running weekly at Saddlebow, I fully intend to watch a few more. It is interesting to see these young men progress. For example the last time i saw Jake Knight ride he could hardly slide the thing, and was left adrift at the gate. Now he looks like he has a big future in the Sport. Just shows you can never tell. The only disappointing thing at this level is the use of R/R. I think all teams should be forced to track 7 riders. It gives someone else a chance that way. Edited May 9, 2011 by semion

rhidassa
All being well should be going to this, after a couple of weeks of not going to speedway from either illness or saving money, I could do with getting a speedway fix before I go away on holiday. Look forward to catching up with people. PS, Any errands or jobs that need doing this week Mimmo, or will I find that out when I wander into the trackshop? semion
Should be a comfy win for the Young Stars, still at this level, you can never tell. Do they operate rolling averages in the 3rd League ?
Daniel Smith
You can probably put Adam Allott down for a 15 point max apart from EF's. Only Jake Knight may be competition for pure pace

Take care Mike Just seen the line up for Buxton and whilst the reserves may just swing it for KL, the outcome will be closer than I thought. It may well get quite close and it should be a cracking meeting. I hope the weather holds out for you down at the NA and that the supporters turn out in force to show some support for the youngsters.
