Well, what a to-do in this one.

In heat 14, none of the drivers ready for restart when more than two minutes gone. The judge excluded all of which means little problem of performance reporting. The match is over and The Eagles won 43-41.

I await Ghostwalkers "calm and reasoned explanation! :t:

why is there no clock or warning like in the uk?

All tracks except Mariestad have a 2 min clock. Also it will be announced when 1 min remaining.

I have also been told that the starter will point to his clock when 30 seconds are remaining.

And as you could see the started tries to get them to the tape but the riders don't bother so i think it was right to exclude them.

Some other news is that Smederna have started a co-operation with bus company Tuna Trafik to have

bus transportation from central Eskilstuna to the track.

If this helps to stop the endless "p---ing around" at the start then the referee has done the sport and spectators a favour :t:

Regards. Alan.

My opinion is that the riders can mess and p_ss about the whole 1 minute and 59 sec's they have, it's their right and part of the mental game and this sport. But according to the rules they have to be ready to start when the time runs out. These guys were idiots on this occasion...

Smederna have been racing against Örnarna again tonight. This time the riders seems to be able to manage without a clock.

WIth 1 heat remaining its 42-42 after, judging by the updates, a great performance from Oliver "Vispen" Berntzon.

Ht 15 will be Balinski (8) and Karpov (10) for Örnarna and two of Zorro (9), Oliver (9) and Kenni (8) for Smederna.

Still no flow for Wozniak, only 2p from 4 heats. Not good, Smederna needs a good backup if Kenni or PK aren't available.

Smederna won, 47-43 after a 5-1 in ht 15 from Zorro and Kenni.

Terrific! Sorry i had to leave straight after the Danish meet to take my son to a swim meet, so i couldn't follow the updates. Still, a win is a win. :t:

This is the newspaper link that allowed us to watch a free stream of Smederna v Rospiggarna. They now have up a link for today's meeting of Masarna v Rospiggarna and the price is 19K. 49k translated to $7.50 for me here so for a one camera stream $3.00 is okay. I guess potential UK viewers might want to check with their credit card company about minimum charges as i recall a lady stating earlier that 10 pounds was her minimum charge! -now that's a rip!!! Shame that here

http://www.speedwayallsvenskan.se/

they still want 49k !!!! Yer pays yer money and yer takes yer choice.

I don't understand why they are charging for all the matches.

The streams are hardly great with one camera angle. I remember watching once with someone's elbow blocking half the first bend.

It's not worth it really and the advertiser must be losing out a lot if people are not paying.

Credit card charges are a problem for some as you say.

I enjoyed it last season but will not pay money for what they are offering.

Weather isn't really either today. It started raining while i walked home from work. Forecasts says rain until around 18.00.

If that is the case Smedernas track staff will manage to get the track on order.

About the stream, Pandorum, i think they had lots of viewers last season so they thought if

they started to charge for the streams they would make allot of money (same with the increased entrance fee).

During the current NHL season i've subscribed to NHL gamecenter live. I paid around 150 dollar for the entire season

which means that i have been able to watch every single game (including the NHL Winterclassic). Whenever i like.

Most of the games are also broadcast in 720p HD.

For the same money i could also buy 22 Allsvenskan games. (22x50kr=1100kr or 18 (18x59kr=1069kr) Elitserien streams at Canal+.

Allsvenskan teams still thinks its "Cheap" well think again.

However if people don't want to pay for it they won't make any money and with the entrance fees, they will only

make more money if the spectator sizes is the same síze as with the previous season. If 1000 people show up with a 120kr entrance fee,

and 1200 shows up with a 100kr entrance fee. The latter will generate more money since it will be additional 200 people that will buy hot dogs, coffee,

hamburgers, parking fee....

This is the same scenario as when Smederna went bankrupt, Tickets prices increased and spectators sizes decreased.

Which meant that Smederna had to let their best riders go which meant even less spectators.

18:10 still rains and no sign of the bus. Going home soon.

It turned out that that it departed from Sporthallen and not from the Theatre as the info initially said,

Oh well who cares really. Don't fancy sitting out there and watch the tractors do lap after lap for hours.

just got home from Nyköping. Some of you might already have heard but i will tell the rest of you.

About 20 people boarded (including me, Tarabanko & Zetters) a bus just past 5PM earlier tonight.

The destination was Svansta banan in Nyköping. Around 6.10pm some 20km north of Nyköping,

our bus entered a quite sharp left hand turn.

This is where disaster struck. The bus came to far out on the side of the road and it fell over.

six people have been brought to hospital, i know that at least 1 have been able to leave the hospital.

about 10 of us who did not need to go to the hospital later continued to the meeting.

We arrived just in time for heat 9. From this point Smederna were in control and eventually won

with 49-40.

picture on this article shows just how close it was. a few inches more to the right and that pine tree

would have hit us.

Thank goodness you and most of the others are okay. I hope that those hospitalised are soon released. Everyone on this thread, i'm sure, sends their very best wishes to all of you. That was the closest of close calls. Regards. Alan.
