manchesterpaul
It is nice to see the swedish fans so enthusiastic and loud. This sort of weather can often dampen a crowd vocally.

Ghostwalker
Why? Because it rained? It rained at Scunthorpe last night - maybe Rob Godfrey's licence should be pulled. Â The track's rubbish 'cos it rained. That's just as likely to happen most places. Â Better there than some country hicksville track in a forest. Â nope because the track have been rubbish every year and will continue to be rubbish if they choose to stay at ullevi. since if its dry conditions the track will quickly be full of ruts and holes and when it rain well you can see the for yourself what its like. also there other options. two new stadiums are being in Stockholm and they are very similar to millenium stadium cardiff / parken copenhagen. both when it comes to size and retractable roof which means the track will not be exposed to rain. manchesterpaul
What are the weather seasons like in Sweden? It always seems to rain at Ullevi, i mean is Gothenburg pretty much guaranteed sunny/dry weather in June/July? Is there a considerable risk in staging the meeting this early in the year in that part of Sweden or the same risk if moved to later in the series?. Â Would high summer give us for sure a great track and crowd? Edited May 14, 2011 by manchesterpaul

hatcham
Sensible decision by the ref over the Lindgren fall, lets hope he doesn't ruin it by abandoning after 16 heats
mickthemuppet
Paul I went to the Ullevi GP in 2008/9 and the weather was glorious . In fact the weather was far better in Sweden than is was when we landed back in England both times. They were both in May

Would high summer give us for sure a great track and crowd?  Sweden is a bit like Britain weather wise there are no safe months. Weather is very very unpredictable. They can hardly tell what the weather is gonna be like next week. There is no way to tell from year to year what weeks are going be sunny/rainy. And i'd say that it does not matter if its in may-September not so big difference when it comes to the certainty of the weather. The only safe regarding the weather is that the west coast is much more likely to get rain then the eastern part of the country This is because most low pressures/rain weathers origins from the north Atlantic and moves in from the west via GB, North Seas, Denmark and the Skagerak.  Fair enough, although the same blokes would have the same chance to cock up the track. Wasn't the indoor GP at Germany "rained off" a couple of years ago lol

manchesterpaul
What a shame the rain is no getting so heavy as those who are leading deserve truly reward for their efforts so far. Â Just seen your reply Ghostwalker, i did actually wonder if that was the case. Thanks for info.
