PMSL...as AJ is pretty frigging useless in teh GP's, yes he has the odd good one but in general pizz poor!!

 I really hate seeing AJ riding so poorly at the back. He used to ride very simular to Janusz Kolodziej when he was younger. He throws in the good race every now and again (WC 2010). Some people in Sweden reckon it is having a child, but I reckon it is too many crashes have affected his confidence and style.

Do any of our Swedish friends have news regarding as to whether advance tickets are selling like the proverbial hotcakes, or is it likely to be a turn up on the day affair?. The latter of which would possibly be affected by the weather if it is bad.

Around 10,000 tickets sold as of Thursday, so it shouldn't be an issue:

Thomas H Jonasson wants to win a few races and make the semis:

Andreas Jonsson wants to do well in front of the Swedish public and put a poor Leszno show behind him:

Unsurprisingly, Tomasz Gollob is the favourite, at least with sportingbet.com:

I expected Jonsson to do well in Leszno after reading the article on SGP site about his involvement with Blomfeldt. Not because Blomfeldt is necessarily doing anything out of the ordinary (from what I've seen previously, I think he's had his day long ago) but the fact that Jonsson was confident in his equipment. With that placebo effect I expected him to make the final but it wasn't to be.

With this one in Sweden he should improve on 5 points but if by the end of round 3 he hasn't done anything I think he should ditch Blomfeldt and start again before it's too late.

Went to practice yesterday, track looked smooth but slick could be a 'he who gates wins' meeting. Greg Hancock, Emil Sayfutdinov, Freddie Lindgren looked the fastest of the guys. THJ didn't come out in his last two rounds of practice but I did notice in the pits beforehand that one of his bikes was misfiring. Bomber was trying all the lines whereas a the majority were keeping it tight on turn 4.

Weather is sunny here at the moment so fingers crossed for some action later at Ullevi

rain is predicted from around 15.00 local time and for the rest of the evening.

A quick look at the radar image shows that showers have started to move their way up along the west coast, so it doesn't look good at the moment.

And Ullevi usually is first to gate = first across the finish line.

Thank you for the links. I actually came on here to request if anyone had radar links.

Yellow on weather radar animations is never a good sight :(

Does anyone know if the live showing on sky is going to the red button as it looks like its only on for 2hours but the repeat later is 3 hours?

If you glance down slightly you will see there is a thread a few places below this titled 'Gothenburg GP - Red Button Final Hour', in that someone involved with Sky have confrmed the meeting is on in full. Additionally, it should be available in HD. At least they are planning to broadcast it in that mode.

There''s also further input from the same source in a thread in the 'General' section regarding the viewing figures being good, the coverage of the Swedish GP and possible plans to gain the Polish speedway rights. Although Premier Sports may be beating them to the latter.
