hatcham
As you are a principled person (and never stop moaning about it) why don't you make a stand by leaving the forum, please? What a ridiculous comment
ladyluck
I was stating that there are new young riders coming to the scene now and at just 25 years of age, I consider Freddiue to be one of those and even you cant question his talent in the sport. I don't believe he has the talent some people are willing to think he has.
Reviresco
My question is why do they stage a SGP in Gothenburg in May? It rains. Surely stage it in July or August when the summer is there. IMO another bad show for speedway on TV. Nobody's fault and huge credit to the riders for giving it a go. No damage done to TG on his bid for back to back championships which looked the case after 2 heats. Hopefully conditions will be good for the rest of the series. Dogstar
NEVER met the man and unlikely to given his current state of health. You would do better to allow facts to determine your opinions. Told you before that you are wasting your time with the wierdity that is Subedei. Ever since his anal bypass operation he has been spouting nothing but crap. Unless you are kissing the butts of all things Polish, your opinions count for nothing.
Trees
I agree should have been ridden in the morning if rain was going to stop during the night, they said on the coverage that the track is pretty sandy so chances are it would have dried out considerably. I'm really surprised that the senior riders didn't put in a protest, they must be getting soft or more stupid in their old age, a few years back Crump and Pedersen would have got the thing called off!! Ladyluck has some very "out there" opinions, and i would have to say i probably disagree with 90% of his posts, including his take on Bjerre's falls 1 and 2 and Lindgren's tonight, but surely anyone who thinks this forum would be a better place without the likes of him, the Impartial one and dear old Shovvy, is beyond any number of anal bypasses. mickthemuppet
Fact: people paid for twenty-three heats. Fact: it started raining mid afternoon. Fact: there was next to no racing during sixteen heats. Fact: as soon as heat sixteen is passed it is called off. Fact: the first GP not to go the distance - at least Ole Olsen always got a GP to the finish when he started one. Think you might find that a previous GP at Ullevi was started then abandoned as the track was not raceable. I think the Swedes have never forgotten this and that is why the attendances are so dire at Goteburg. I think that will be the last GP ever held there

I think that will be the last GP ever held there Think you will find it was abandoned after Ht 2 and re-staged a week later, so the GP was concluded. It's just like the SWC in Vojens last season. It was abandoned and re-staged the following day, thus it was completed.
SCB
Yeh i agree, bit like Poland have how many GP's?. So tell me, where else can we hold a GP appart from Cardiff? And don't say Coventry. Why not Coventry? Holds 12,000 people, host many good GP's back in the day. Central too.

Central to what? a bunch of nondescript midland towns? The Speedway authorities need to resurect Wembley as a World final/GP venue.

Bagpuss
I'm not particularly fussed how Bjerre does on the GP circuit to be honest but he had two big shoves from Freddie tonight (no problem with that, its a GP after all) although he asked for the second one by leaving such a big gap on the last bend and you can see why the ref let the result stand. More worryingly are the engine failures, he has far too many (as does Lasse for that matter) and needs to get that sorted pronto from a Lynn Stars perspective. Can't add much more that others haven't already about the meeting to be honest, seems a bit daft starting when there was little chance of completing the 23 heats. Totally agree but cant see that ever happening, some people think the only sport is football kicking that bag of wind about by a load of prima donnas yuk

gypilgrim
No they don`t,Wembley needs to be the home of an NFL franchise in the future,no room for speedway When West Ham Utd FC take on the Olympic Stadium they will be desperate to hold events there, and they'll have the room for a nice track. Ad in the Hackney Hawks heitage at the site and the great transport links to the site, it's a no-brainer. Much better than Wembley. Good news is Jason Crump apparentyl dislocated shoulder and had it popped back in. Hopefully no ligament damage. Thank goodness tonight's farce didn't have serious consequences. Chris
Joke of a meeting and done the sport more harm than good starting it. If they knew heavy rain was in for the night then it should have been called off. Pathetic from FIM/BSI. Gothenburg has to go. Terrible track, no crowds and weather is too unpredictable.
