I think it's down to some poor, misguided folks actually BELIEVING what some other poor, misguided folks, who grind axes for a living, write on here. tellboy
I take it,it was Cameron Heeps i see racing around Lynn tonight after the main meeting. He had Heeps on his bike anyway. He looks a pretty good talent from what i see tonight,he was racing against some NL boys as well.I think he will be very good for Mildenhall especially at reserve. Bagpuss
Looked much better in this week's second half at Lynn, can't gate by the look of it but was all over the leader in all three of his heats. Quick and stylish.

norwichkev
Whoo great news for the league. This kid is gonna be worth watching!! Think you have it spot on whether at Mildy or anywhere else, NL can be a very good product if governed by common sense. Monty, RT et al time to put your hands up, you got it wrong!! No doubt you will acknowledge. Cameron looks quality for such a young age ( as did young 13 year old Lambert at Rye House the other week ) I am sure he will give it 100% - hats off to him, flies half way around the world at 15!! - bring on the U.K. equivalent. The more youngsters of any nationality that hit the U.K. can only bring more people to the sport, and raise performance levels in our young un's. Maybe any future should give Stoke & Scunny a miss to ensure they are appreciated Will it make fen Tigers stronger? Who knows? Brundle will be a big loss to a well balanced team and deserves his chance at RH, Adam Portwood will come again, has shown massive improvement this year - but Mark and Cameron will bring entertainment and 100% commitment. Roll on Sunday. Edited June 22, 2011 by norwichkev
norwichkev
Do you think we are all stupid! Mildenhall have tried to pull a fast one and failed. He is no more a three pointer than you are. And yes it is disgraceful, shameful and shocking that you thought you could get away with it. Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear - good job you had your facts right or you would have looked a right t**t. TMW
Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear - good job you had your facts right or you would have looked a right t**t. I think you need to leave the lad alone now cos the pressure on him is going to be inmense. Dont worry Adam your time will come keep at it

Roll on Sunday. Excuse me with all due respect Scunny have shown what a bit of support and faith can show 3 PL riders that are not doing too bad. Thank you for Mildenhall Speedway for doing it's bit for the Amateur Scene: From the BSPA Amateur speedway might conjure up images of wobbling beginners but, whilst they are always very welcome, some very talented riders take part. No more so than in the Open Class which is a great place for young riders to continue learning their craft whilst showcasing their talent. The latest rider to impress was 15-year old Cameron Heeps from Western Australia who pipped Scunthorpe Scorpions’ asset Luke Chessell to victory in last weekend’s meeting. The pair defeated each other once in qualifying whilst Chessell led the final for a lap before Heeps used the dirt line to pass on the outside and claim victory. Former Mildenhall Fen Tiger Shane Henry was 3rd whilst current Fen Tiger, Adam Portwood, also made the A Final. Heeps follows in the footsteps of Linus Sundström (Sweden), Jen Trasborg, Patrick Bjerregaard, Peter Juul Larsen (twice), Mark Randrup, Claes Nedermark (all Denmark), Nick Morris and Robert Branford (both Australia) as the tenth overseas winner of a Scunthorpe amateur meeting whilst a look at the list of the British winners confirms the pedigree required to win one of these events. frostylion
Well if he has been cleared to ride that fair enough,i still think it wrong that a young brit like Adam can be pushed out for young Heeps Many say the uk should follow the steps of the Danes or the Poles, not many oversea riders in there lower leagues are there What get me is the blatant use of the system,Cameron is an Aussie, but when it suits he is a brit, and now is a 3 average, that is wrong the other clubs in the nl who wanted to sign riders like Cameron were told they couldnt use them in the NL this year, bet they arnt happy now

If those other riders like Cameron had the correct documentation, they too will be able to ride NL under the age of 16. I am certain that if Cameron was not legally allowed in NL this year he would defo spend thousands of pounds next year on travelling here to ride PL. Without a doubt in fact! For interested parties from PL clubs would sign him over our winter to secure this, as the lad had been noticed before now. As for taking another Brits place like Adams...his chance will come again...Amatuer racing and track time elsewhere will get him noticed. Just the same as Cameron must have got noticed over in Oz. Yes he is an Aussie but he has confirmed British patriality. Just the same as I could if I wanted to settle there (But vise versa). The system as you call it let him down for more three weeks and now he's probably got more to prove than before. However, he'll get there. Enough said bring on the weekend British GP with some wonderful British talent to support and o'bit of Nikki Pedersen to stirr up the mix...cocktails all round I say...shaken not stirred.
