Claes Nedermark.

Recommended Posts

Newcastle with injury brought in Lubos Tomicek who didn't cut any ice. So lubos is out and Claes Nedermark is in. Anyone know anything about him

Right here goes.....

Claes has been riding speedway since a very early age and was a Danish champion at 80cc level.

He has been riding for Outrup in the Danish liga where he put in some very respectable scores last year and also has some outings for Krakow in the Polish 2nd Division.

Claes first came to England at the back end of last year for Team Viking where he top scored for us at Plymouth (only being beaten once all night) and won a round of the Scunthorpe Amateur series ahead of Jonas B Andersen and Robin Bergqvist.

He was due to start the season with Plymouth only to be dropped at the 11th hour due to a mix up on averages by the promotion so lets hope Plymouth's loss is the Diamonds gain.

As for his riding style from what I have seen he is a fast gater and hates to lose (Typical Dane lol) He can be a bit hard and ruthless on the track - Dont know if thats a good or bad thing

GOOD LUCK CLAES

Hi Sarah

Claes is very welcome to his place in the Diamonds team. He will be aware that Newcastle is one place that Danes do well to start at, lets hope he can teach the rest of our team (mark apart) to gate

As a D graded rider he does quite well.Has an average just a bit better than Jørgensen, but a fair bit lower than Mikkel B.Jensen and a good bit better than Jonas B.But he has far more experience than those guys.I personally have never been impressed with the guy.But who knows, maybe he will take to the UK tracks like a duck to water.I can only see him struggling though as he imo isn't as good as Klaus Jakobsen or Jesper Kristiansen to name two.And really,to still be a D grade rider at his age shows he isn't developing, as most D grade riders are really youngsters in their first or second year on a 500cc ......or riders who have reached their level

Nedermark's last outing in the UK from 6 rides, 3 3 3 2 3 3, make of that what you will..., also saw him in a second half at Sheffield against Nelson, he wound it on and rounded Nelson on the pits turn and never looked back, a real "leg trailer" enjoy you lucky Diamonds fans.

I am really pleased that Claes fixed himself up with another team after he was left high and dry by Mike Bowden at Plymouth.

I have to say though that I always doubted he would maintain his set average of 7. I hope I am wrong though.

He will probably pull off a maximum when Newcastle come down here just to prove a point though :-).

Nice to see another Dane signed by the Diamonds, hope Claes does well he will struggle to be as bad as Lubos who was half a lap behind in most races at home, unless the lad really struggles to adapt to the tracks. Dont expect him to maintain his average few assessed 7 riders do, he is more likely to be brought in to be a decent second string to probably partner Robbo which the team needs.

I assume Nedermark will get a new average after 4h/4a like the rest of assessed riders do. Could we see Nedermark dropping to around 4.5 and King returning with lots of points free?

Damn it, you've spotted the plan.

Don't think there'll be lots of points free. Stuart Robson will be on a proper 8-9 point average by then, Lemo is showing no signs of dropping his and Deek looks like being a good point higher as well.

Mike Bowden claims he is but he didn't race for us once. Someone said somewhere riders have to ride 12 meetings (?) before becoming an asset.

"Another point that needs correcting is that Claes is not a Plymouth asset, you have to ride 12 official meetings before a club can own you so Claes is a free agent and Plymouth are not entitled to a loan fee for him if he does get a PL place somewhere else."

This came from Claes' Agent and was posted in the Plymouth board just about when he got replaced in the Plymouth team

A PL team can sign 1 protected asset each year that becomes an asset without turning a wheel. Glasgow done it with Peter Juul Larsen in 2008, Nick Morris in 2009 and Michael Penfold in 2010.
