Great stuff from Pawlicki! I can't believe he beat the mighty Darcy Ward! ;):P

The Poole fans will point to heat 14 and say " he didn't" !! But the only winner is the one with the most points at the end of the meeting, and that is our rising young star. ( apart from Emil) Regards. Alan.

Relaxing here near Gothenburgh after a great day in Malmö. The ref was extatic about the racing he saw and for what I saw I through the camera I was happy. For the Finns the meeting ended in near fisticuffs for which the endcome will be told in the next couple of years.

Better report on monday...

Oh, come on FSP, you gotta say more than that....Has Kalle learned any boxing skills while over in Scotland, or is it just his drinking skills that he has honed? :P

Has to be Ht 18 when Kalle was passed by Jari, that caused the heated debate!!!Kalle only needs to finish second and with two Finns who have no chance should have been assured of that.....oh well i hope for an email very soon from f-s-p

A mighty performance from Pawlicki beating Darcy .

Ahm ... not really. :) Darcy was only really beaten by Pulczynski in heat 20. He lost another point in heat 7, where he ... err ... forgot to count to 4, and stopped after lap 3. :D

In heat 14 he was much faster than Pawlicki - check here:

Easy win for Darcy in that one. Was there any crowd there, or isn't speedway as popular over there?

U21 qualis are not that well attended in most countries.I was at the Nordic quali when Lindbäck,Lindgren etc were riding and there were only a few hundred there. How many people attended a quali at Rye House?Wonder how many were in Malmö yesterday?Doubt it would be that many and you can't say speedway isn't popular in Sweden or Denmark

Wow, i thought Monday nights at some Elite league tracks were poor, but unless the stand the video was taken from was packed ( and you get glimpses that it wasn't, that really is sad. These are the STARS of tomorrow. You have to support them. It's okay the F.I.M. "spreading it around" but i've seen more spectators at a 10 year old's soccer match here in the USA-and that really is saying something. Terrible atmosphere for the riders too. Ah well, such is life sometimes. Both Ward and Pawlicki are terrific and the Final should be a corker. We shall see  Regards. Alan.

Âgree with you 100% Alan.Unfortunately most fans don't.I have been to a few U21 Finals.Last one was the U21 team final in Holsted a couple of years back and they are also not well attended.First time i realised this was attending a Denmark U21 v Sweden U21 meeting in Esbjerg. There was imo a great line-up with Klindt,Hougaard,Madsen,Eric Andersson,Kling etc and i was expecting maybe 1,000 or so.Particularly as it was free to get in.But there was only really family+friends and me!!!!.Same some weeks later with almost the same riders in Malmö.Although in Sweden you had to pay to get in.It is sad,but it seems pretty much the same in most countries

We didnt get to see the actual fight as tm Palomäki was holding Katajisto at the pits long enough to calm him down.

That was it, yes. Four years of work from the coaches and the first chance in a decade where Finns could actually help eachother like everyone else always does and this happened. I really dont know yet which side I¨m gonna take on this...

And now they have to try and get the team spirit together again, in time for next weekends Team semi in Germany. At least they don't have to ride together. But you expect the team to help each other out. That might be hard at the moment, sadly

I took this video from the grandstand, where the majority of people were so you can't see them in the video. I'd say around 500-1000 people attended yesterday's meeting and the atmosphere was quite good. Speedway is quite popular in Croatia, especially because of Jurica Pavlic, and now also because of their new hope, Dino Kovacic.

tomazpozrl, what can you say about Russian rider Chalov? May be you have some video of his heats in Croatia 21/05?

Very talented rider. In his last race he passed two riders in half of lap and it was really spectacular. For us slovenian fans was sad moment as he passed Conda and grabbed last ticket for semi-finals race.
