iris123
It's smaller than Belle Vue so yes it is small. Well at least riding at the 285m Ipswich track should help him overcome his problem then

ladyluck
Three wins out of three for the Russian Andrey Kudryashov in Neustadt Donau.
HenryW
No massive surprises in the qualifiers, although I think Vladimir Borodulin would probably have been expected to have taken one of the 6 spots. It looks like he had a bit of a disaster today.
ladyluck
With five riders scoring seven points, it looks like a mini-tournament to decide the "reserve" position.
ladyluck
Getting interesting in Chervonograd. Looking good for Poland's sixteen-year-olds Bartosz Zmarzlik and Piotr Pawlicki.
ladyluck
Very interesting. Looks like a race-off for the final qualifying place between Poland's Szymon Wozniak and Ukraine's Alexandr Loktaev (or is it Woktaev, as the dreaded "Ł" makes another appearance?). Also a race-off between Poland's Piotr Pawlicki and Russia's Vadim Tarasenko for first place. Edited May 15, 2011 by ladyluck
ladyluck
And the qualifiers from Chervonograd: Piotr Palwicki (POL) Vadim Teresanko (RUS) Andrey Lebedev (LAT) Bartosz Zmarzlik (POL) Vitaly Belousov (RUS) Alexandr Lotaev (UKR) With Szymon Wozniak (POL) as the reserve. HenryW
Quite an impressively young set of qualifiers. Pawlicki, Lebedev and Zmarzlik are all 16. Tarasenko only turned 17 this week. Loktaev is also 17 and Belousov is the old man at 18.

Remember it because Kevin was in the same quali Edited May 15, 2011 by iris123

ladyluck
When you look at today's qualifiers and see Bartosz Zmarzlik, Piotr Pawlicki, Patryk Dudek and Maciej Janowski, then add Przemyslaw Pawlicki and Poland look stupidly strong for the Junior SWC. Well the next two weekends will show how strong Denmark will be this year.Malmö + Diedenbergen. But on home territory the Russians could have a big part to play and must be contenders for a silver at least

Looks like a strong set of qualifiers. Shows what a tough draw Steve Worral had, on top of a 3000 mile round - trip Steve was a little unlucky not to gather more than four points, apparently (per Scunthorpe web site). In his first ride he was leading when a seat bracket snapped causing him to fall, then in his second ride he was leading again when Bartosz Zmarzlik fell causing a re-run. Great experience for Steve, though. Good on him for flying the flag so far from home.
