That was it, yes. Four years of work from the coaches and the first chance in a decade where Finns could actually help eachother like everyone else always does and this happened. I really dont know yet which side I¨m gonna take on this...

No wonder Kalle was gonna lamp the talentless Makinen, however wft was Kalle doing letting Makinen get anywhere near him in the first place.

You're both right and wrong. There is talent, but however wft was Kalle doing letting Makinen get anywhere near him in the first place.

Kalle had the chance to take the necessary points on couple of occasions. In his first he was leading SimonG from the tapes for two laps but chose to race against him, when he should have blocked him or even "fence" him. Instead winning his first and hardest heat he was blocked by Simon and at the same time he lost enough speed so that the other guy got in front of him too. Then in his fourth he was against two danes that were practically "just standing on his way", but as the guy in front was so much slower than the two behind him, Kalle was always in the wrong place and was sandwiched by the two on several occasions exiting turns...

My head is still spinning after saturday, you had to be in it to believe it...

I was actually asking the assistent teammanager of Finland why Mäkinen didnt let Kalle get the second place. He just said its à good question and then added that its à long story. So I guess it has been problems getting Kalle and Mäkinen to cooperate earlier.

But I was surprised by Kalle. He did it very good but I think he could have been ridden more "rough" than he did.

As many of you have mentioned, U-21-competitions have problems to get people to the track. Malmö was no exception, as I remember it was around 370 people watching (comparing with over 900 when Gnistorna rode against Ikaros Smederna last thursday). I really dont get it why more people aint coming. Juniorspeedway is often tight and exiciting). However, as à Swede i am happy that we have five riders in the semi. If Simon and Linus keep up the speed they will make it to the final and hopefully together with Dennis:-)

I took this video from the grandstand, where the majority of people were so you can't see them in the video. I'd say around 500-1000 people attended yesterday's meeting and the atmosphere was quite good. Speedway is quite popular in Croatia, especially because of Jurica Pavlic, and now also because of their new hope, Dino Kovacic.

Hay mate can you please me with finding some video footage from the 21s at Croatia in english , thanks

Are you talking about the finnish team manager palomäki or the u21 coach teurnberg?

Why are they extending u21 competitions when it is obvious no one gies to watch most of it? Surely they should streamline it. Ward, Pawlicki should be seeded to the finals , it is stupid making them travel all over Europe for qualifying rounds watched by 300 people at best.

I don't think anyone was filming the meeting. I only recorded a couple of heats with my camera, as I was too busy cheering for our riders and also entertaining the local girls. :P

This is what I was talking about... >>>HERE<<< Something Kalle had the chance to do for two laps, but when SimonG got his chance the first time, he did it.

So basically Katajisto has got the hump because Makinen was trying his best and passed him? Tough luck, if he's good enough he shouldn't have to rely on his fellow countrymen riding half throttle to stay behind him.

All sounds pathetic from Katajisto and proves he has a huge amount of growing up to do.

Sorry, i mean of course Teurnberg.

But as Fsp is saying, Kalle had his chances. In his first heat he had 2 point until he was passed by B Jensen and he didnt have to let Mäkinen pass him. So Kalle has noone Else to blame than himself. Hopefully, Kalle will learn to Focus on right things and dont blame others for his failures.
