vog
I know it's early, but I am looking at heading down to this meeting, as it forms part of a double header with Lakeside v Eastbourne. I was just wondering if the prices were known yet for admission to both meetings, or if it will just be the normal admission for each added up! Works like this (from Lakeside website): For the Eastbourne match/double header Adults – £17.50 Senior Citizens, disabled and other concessions – £13 Children 6 to 16 years – £3 Children Under 6 years – Free Unemployed with proof of status – £11 However for Hackney & Stoke fans who enter after Heat 15 of the Elite League meeting, it's just £5 for adults, £4 for concessions and kids for free. Thank you. I'd had a look on there but couldn't see anything! As a student, £13 for an EL and NL meeting, can't be bad!

blueherb777
Will there be a separate programme for the Hackney v Stoke fixture ? Or a double programme for Lakeside/Eagles and the Hackney meeting ?

vog
Priest? Really? I was confident about a win. Not so much now...I'm sure Malcolm has tried all available options, but still. Doesn't inspire me with confidence! Also, anyone know who rides at 6 for Stoke?

James Mcbain according to this. Here Priest is a bit of a strange one, I hope the confident Luke Priest turns up & puts in a good performance. From what i saw last year of him he was short of that in some meetings, but he is still very capable. I hope that he does well. no one else available

Personally, I would have hoped for Adam Roynon or Darren Mallet, but they must have been unavailable! Such is life, I just hope we have enough through the team to get us the win. The key is going to be the middle order of the team, if Pickard, Atkin and Isherwood turn up like they did at Newport, we have a good chance. Baldy
James was nearly in our starting 7 this year as he was the rider who was battling it out with Ben on practice day. Looked quicker out of the game than Ben but Ben seem to have move open speed. Good luck to James in the team and Ben on a recovery from his nasty fall. Luke isn't a number one but expect he will pick up enough points to get the team home. Be a very close and enteresting tussle.

Definitely, Id of gone for Hot Toddy would of thought hed have been available Priest had some awesome races round QM last year & some bad ones, so i hope the one who looked as good as the Pries of old turns up. He's still good enough at this level, but confidence & possibly machinery may have been lacking last year, the ability is still there. If Pickard & Isherwood ride like they did you should still have a good chance. TA is always awesome
vog
So, according to the Stoke press release, it's Dan Berwick who guests in place of Ben Reade. Good luck Dan. No lose situation for him, if he impresses, maybe he can force his way into the Stoke team!
Rockets
Even though they are probably not yet familiar with the track I can only see a comfortable Hawks win. This is one very good team this year. I just hope the track holds up.

This is one very good team this year. I just hope the track holds up. Yes it was a comfortable Hawks win on a concrete dust bowl of a track..Most riders that took a gamble finished up on thier backsides eating dust Smooth throttle on the inside line was the only way...The Potters gave it a good go ,but most of the time it cost them points..This day was for the boys who know the track well..Marc Owen hardly made a gate all day but still found the line to get into good scoring positions in no time..Shane Hazelden is much improved already this season and scored a hatfull of points..David Mason was his usuall steady self and today it paid off handsomely.. Ben Morley would be the first to admit he was not at his best but still chipped in with paid 9 from 4..Barrie Evans gave all but paid the same price as some of the Potters for trying to hard on a terrible track ..Ben Hopwood was little unlucky to only score 5 Brandon Freemantle gave it good go ,a 5-1 with Shane in heat 2 ,was rewarded by being pulled out of his last ride ,which in my opinion was not necessary as the match was won.this does nothing to help a very young rookie build confidence..This lad will come good if given some positive encouragement..Well done all the boys, most, if not all ,like me will be glad to get back to Rye House..Nice to meet old friend Malcom Vasey ,Potters team manager ,,Malc you can be proud of your lads they gave it a real good go... I agree fully that Brandon shouldn't have been taken out of heat 14, but the 3 points weren't won at that stage. A couple of Potters 5-1's although unlikely, would have given them a match point Edited April 22, 2011 by Shadders
