Khabiboulin
I think it's more likely to follow the normal League Racing format, but can't find the information anywhere I expect so too, especially considering only 7 riders have been announced for each team. This is the format that's been used for all Test matches in the last decade or so (not that there have been any senior Tests for a few years). The proper 18-heat 8-man Test match format hasn't been used for a very long time. Wasn't it suggested Jason Crump would be riding in these when they were first announced? I was really looking forward to them and booked time off for them, but they aren't looking so great any more. The £35 for all three meetings deal evaporated (we'll now have to pay more than that for just two) with no explanation, the second Test disappeared and the line-ups aren't full-strength. The GB team for Friday is pathetically weak with 2 of our top 3 riders missing. Edited June 1, 2011 by Khabiboulin
Sprog1
Are you REALLY including Bomber in that, in his own admission, he doesn't get on with Purfleet Raceway Actually, he used to be pants at Purfleet but on his last few visits he hasn't done all that bad.Not great, but good enough to justify his place in the team IMO. He seems to me to be a much more rounded rider these days, so on balance I think he is a decent choice.
Bagpuss
The lack of any kind of preview or meeting info is an indication of how seriously the BSPA take Team GB unfortunately. Twenty quid is too pricey aswell.
Brummie Kev
Going to this tonight, making the short train journey from Bournemouth. I am looking forward to it as the lineups are good and two Brummies riders in it. However I agree its a complete disgrace that there is no info on format. I hope its just 15 as I need the meeting to finish for 21:40 to get to the hourly train back at 21:54. It would be great if the BSPA bothered to promote this and not mess fans about by not saying anything.

Authorised
Strange that Nichols is not in the team at Lakeside. It is one of his favourite tracks and he rides it as well, if not better than anyone in either side. All the GB quad usually go well at Lakeside except Danny King. Very odd that he should be in the side instead of Nichols but if Nichols is not available then surely Robbo has a better claim to a place, currently averaging 6.57 (not including bonus points) on his home track he seems a much better bet than Danny King who has never done much at Arena. Completely agree with you.

Chris
What happened to Ward? Surely a likely GP winner this season should be blowing away a field like this?
orion
What happened to Ward? Surely a likely GP winner this season should be blowing away a field like this? Not really his type of track .

SCB
Well done Team GB, didn't expect that! Neither did I after 2 or 3 heats Fair play to the lads, especially the two Cornish Bees assets who stepped up.
TrueBee
Excellent away win for GB. Lets hope these tests become more regular, preferably with some further north as well. From any attendees, how was the racing?
Brummie Kev
Left after Heat 12 due to the long delay with the Doyle crash, all the best to him. Shame only one ambulance for such a big meeting, perhaps there wasn't another one available. Proud of Team GB for fighting back after a shocking start, they showed alot of guts.Hope everyone gets behind us now, interesting to Davey Watt having a pop at all the negative talk about Team GB. So enjoyed my first visit to Poole since 1999 ( You just need 2 ambulances instead of 1!! Lol) and Well done Team GB.

JCookie
Surprising performance from Bridger, thought riding against all his mates would spur him on.
BigFatDave
From reading updates it looked like a thriller; all down to the last heat - can't complain about the result. Doyley's off and subsequent exclusion seemed to be the turning point of the meeting; hopefully someone who was there can throw some light on the subject. Incidentally I read a preview on the Poole Site yesterday; wasn't too hard to find. Onwards and upwards - here's hoping for an OZ fightback in the Second Test at Lakeside on Friday. gypilgrim
Sounds like an exciting finish. Well done to the Lions, hard luck to the Kangaroos. Nearest thing the Aussies will get to a home match in the Northern Hemisphere.
