Team Gb V Australia Test Series

Recommended Posts

A good idea.

However why are all the meetings in the South. Why not spread them out South, Midlands and North, so everyone can have a fair crack at seeing the meetings. You are restricting the number of spectactors likely to go, by holding them all in the South and on consecutive days. It wouldn't be a problem for the riders to travel across the country, they do enough of it anyway.

Couldn't agree more, why can't they be spread out like they used to be.Obviously would have to pay to much

in travelling expences.

So I take it, if you only want to go to one match, its normal entry price?

Unfortuantely the press release doesn't make that clear. If they charge the normal £16 for each individual match then you are better off buying an advanced ticket if you wish to attend 2 or more matches.

I'm a failed accountant, but isn't it better to pay £16 each on the day if you are going to to two matches rather than £35. Saving of £3!

I was really looking forward to going as we are in Dorset that week on hols BUT if there's no 'normal rate' for the Poole match then I'm not paying £100 (Me, Missus + 3 sproggs) for ONE Speedway meeting! ARE THEY MAD?! No one's going to pay that kind of money

I hope there is some common sense on pricing before tapes go up.

  • 3 weeks later...

Team GB V Australia at Poole Admission prices are:

Adults £18 Seniors £15 Kids £5 Under 5's FREE

Hmm, so what is the extra £2 for? Think I'll wait for the line ups before I decide if I'm going to go to the Poole one or not. Get to see Team Aus at Poole every week as it is!

If it is run as per a normal test series there will be 16 riders and 18 heats.

With all due respect, Poole have 2 out of the top 5 or 6 Aussies just now. Just because you have more Aussies than that doesn't mean they are the best...Then again, given the Aussie Team Manager's selection criteria for recent SWC matches, I guess that you maybe WILL just see what you normally see :P

lmao...When was the last time you saw a "proper, old skool" test match in the UK?

Well I am confused, Dakota North is lining up in the British semi finals this week  , and I then find this article in Lovespeedway24.co.uk saying he has an outside chance of riding for Aus in the test matches....I know it comes from the Peterboro press office but honestly to be both nationalities inside one month for goodness sake

According to the BSPA website the Swindon test on Thursday week has been called off due to 'a conflict of fixtures' leading to rider availability.

Surely they knew this when scheduling it in the first place? Can the BSPA not get anything right?

Obviously only just noticed that Brummies vs Bees that night !

"You couldn't make it up" as someone one said.

Peterborough v Wolves already called off because of Swindon fixture making things an even BIGGER farce - why can the BSPA not manage to do anything right ?
