King's Lynn vs Hackney Hawks

Recommended Posts

Right, well overdue time this thread was opened... (surprised you've not done so yet, Mimmo!)

After all, this fixture is the first League fixture competed in by a team called Hackney since 1991.. And the first by any London club since 2005...

I for one am journeying up from the smoke for this one! Dig out a key ring for me MM...!!

Correction it's the Cobra's re-branded as the Hawkes.

Hoddesdon is not in London try Herfordshire! :nono:

I'd seen the Yanks at Brum earlier in the week so knew this would be a mis-match, hence I wasn't there.

Yes this is from another thread, Hawkes v USA team, but it sums up your true support of the Hawkes ;)

Forecast getting better all the time (according to Met Office) :t:

Looking forward very much to Messrs Evans & Rayson taking to the track and think it will be pretty close.

I forgot you were in attendance, quisling. Just when I was really looking forward to coming down as well. :(

I'd also forgotten that 'Nikko Racing' will be everywhere. Better eat my tea a bit earlier than planned

Fortunately for all concerned, there will be the odd 'HT' around as well. :)

especially as the Met Office predicted none and I'm about to set off from here in the very shadow of Waterden Rd. in Stratford-at-Bow up to Norfolk!!

The weather's not to bad at all Derek, but it is quite cold.

Be great to see the Young Stars finally take to the track. I'm hoping this season will see great strides forward for Lewis Kerr, Oli Rayson and Jake Knight. Out of all the Young Stars, I feel they have the most scope for improvement :approve:

It will also be my first time watching Marc Owen and Brandon Freemantle race so looking forward to that as well.

C'mon the Stars!
