Yes, there is a club meeting on sunday in Lelystad. The meeting starts at 12.15, the practice is at 11.00. Don't expect big names or something there, mostly there are classic riders, kids on 125cc and a few 500cc riders on modern bikes.

Thanks for the reply, have not made our minds up on what to do on weekend yet. We would have gone to the GP but it is sold out & we did not plan the trip until about six weeks ago.

You could go to Sidderburen grasstrack Saturday in NL. It's the Lester Goodwin memorial meeting and has a very good line up in the sidecar class with solo support classes.

  • 2 weeks later...

I watched 2 good meetings over the weekend.

Cloppenburgs official opening on Saturday, then down to Heuseden-Zolder on the Sunday.

Agree with others about David Bellego. Definitely one to watch. :approve:

Thoroughly deserved his 2nd place behind Max Dilger in the Golden Helmet. Very exiting to watch and fearless from the back.Certainly worth the British promoters to invite him over.

Could do a good job in the PL.Not sure what his average would be though.

Any one got the full results and heat details on this event?

Wasn't able to make it in the end, but from what I hear there was some good racing

He looked on the pace at Birmingham last Thursday in Phil's farewell. I'd certainly consider him worth a punt in the PL (assuming a 5pt GSA)

Results from Zolder are here: http://baansportfansite.nl/04092011900.jpg

Thanks Jesper, but what about the other 21 races? I tried to follow it,but with some of the changes etc,I couldnt keep up. Plus I dont speak or understand Belgian!

A good meeting in the end,as when I arrived at 11am the tracked was almost flooded. Lots of work by 3 tractors and some heavy haulage lorries to tyre pack it,we ended up with some excellent racing.Tomasz Piszcz was easily the best rider, but stalled at the start of the Semi Final.

44 races in a little over 5 hours was a long day,but glad I made the effort to go.What with the 38 races in Cloppenburg the day before,I saw a massive amount of racing and thoroughly enjoyed myself.

Cheers.

Very good weekend indeed :) I also went to Cloppenburg, superb meeting. Didn't realy expect that the meeting in Belgium was going ahead, we arrived at 8am and it was raining soooo bad. See the photo's below:

The meeting in Blijham has been cancelled.

This was a round of the Dutch Open Championship. Will there be a rerun or will Lelystad on 02.10.2011 be the last?

How many rounds run will that make? - rain has forced cancellation of at least 2 now. I dont know how many run and how many will be completed for the championship.

At the moment 2 rounds have been run, the last one will be on 02.10 in Lelystad indeed. The KNMV will try to run another round this season, but I don't think that will happen.

To complete the championship there has the be run at least one round.
