Not sure why you have picked out Brokstedt or Wolfslake.Personally i would rather see Kevin ride at Güstrow.Brokstedt is my local track. But it is a big(almost 400m)slick continental style track. Can be some good racing, but generally Güstrow(at around 300m) is far better. But each to their own.The 01.05 meeting is May bank holiday in Brokstedt and there will be a concert by Lotto King Karl on before the meeting.Should be quite a good day.Hope for a decent crowd of 3 or 4,000(maybe more is Lotto King Karl fans pack the place out  The other plus point with Brokstedt is they usually have the pits open to the fans before and after the meeting. So you can mingle and talk to the riders.Güstrow isn't like that. The pits are pretty secure

Talking to someone at todays meeting in Ludwigslust and he said he would definitely prefer Brokstedt to Wolfslake. And when i mentioned Güstrow then he agreed with me,that Güstrow is better than both the others

Well not sure where to put this so i will use this thread......start of the season, time to leave the ice behind us and get out on the dirt.Absolutely super weather for the opening meeting here in the North and great to get back to Ludwigslust after a few years.Things have changed a bit.The old longtrack has now been converted to a MotoX track and they now have a good 80cc track, which i think was built for Dominik Möser to train on when he isn't riding in Denmark.Super days racing with action from the pee-wee 50cc's all the way through 125cc,250cc and the big boys on 500's.Some tearly season cobwebs needed to be brushed off as we had a starting marshall hold out a red flag when the red light wasn't on,the ref start a race when the red lights were still on and a rider being locked out of his race and then let into the next race....but all in all the track was in good shape and the riders too.Just a bit of a controvertial ending when the run-off for first place in the first round of the M-V Championship was turned into a show by Matze Schultz and Tobi Busch.Matze had been taken out earlier by Championship holder Roberto Haupt and was using one of Tobi's bikes. And both Stralsund team riders had agreed beforehand to put on a show.So rode side by side "battling away" for 4 laps before going over the line hand in hand. Some of the crowd loved it,so were none too pleased with a "circus" race.Beforehand there was said to be about 20 odd riders lined up for this, including Rafal Szombierski!!!.In the end only 12 managed to make it.Tobi unlucky in one heat as he got a flat on the last bend and tried to roll home for second, but in the end had to be urged to push over for third and the point.Matze Bartz also could have been in the run-off for first but hit trouble whilst in the lead, but had a good race to beat both Schultz and Busch fairly comfortably.Although Matze.S was maybe a bit shaken after his clash with Haupt at this stage and on borrowed maschinery

The Brit is showing a bit of promise on the grass over here. Woodward has done 2 meetings at Collier Street and I think his results are a second and a win.

We are going to the June meeting

Ok.Brokstedt meetings normally start at 14:00.In the years i have been going i have only known one that didn't.They tried a friday evening meeting once. But the weather was poxy and the crowd was almost non-existent.So they never tried that again.Co-incidentally,Kevin was riding in that one as well.Must have been for Neuenknick. He would only have been about 16,but was about 1 or 2 seconds faster than all the other heat winners.

Hope it all goes to plan for you and may even bump into you. There is often junior racing starting at about 11.And the brokstedt pits are normally open to all-comers.Which can cause problems for the riders + mechanics, but is good if you want to meet and talk to the riders

And i will be in my red & yellow for Wimbledon  Did bump into a guy at a Danish 1st division meeting wearing a Birmingham jacket a few years back.Easy to spot when there were only about 40 people there. When i went up to talk to him it was "Whitey" wearing it + he was with Manuel Hauzinger :D But i have had that before with my friend Garf.Think it was the Danish Final at Outrup and he said he would be there wearing a yellow t-shirt.....and when i got there, there were about 30 or 40 guys wearing yellow t-shirts :D

M.Bartz (0,0,0,0,)0

K.Huckenbeck (3,f.x,1,1,0)5

Some good racing today and especially some great team riding by Matten.Riding with Katt is usually great to see. They cover each other so well. But they way Matten dropped back behind Danny Maaßen and then protected him from Sekula was team riding from the old school.Matten also had a great race with and was the only rider on the day to beat him.Prze was very fast, but his Polish compatriot didn't look as good as expected. And the Wolfs were let down by Matze Bartz who looked to be struggling with his bike in a few heats.A crowd of 3,500 should have gone away happy with the racing and the result
