bluejam Posted April 3, 2011 Report Share Posted April 3, 2011 (edited) Listen to that noise. That's as good as anything I've ever related to sport and atmosphere recently. All man-made too. Makes me want to visit. Hazzman,you have to go to ZG!!It's completely speedway potty.Almost everything you come across in the town has a Mickey Mouse logo on related to the speedway team.The buses have Falubaz all over them too!When I went there for Leszno meet.last June,the stadium was almost full by 5pm and racing didn't start till 6.15pm.Since I went to Wroclawska 69 they've put a roof on sektor K which makes even more atmospheric!! Think it was something to do with Dudek's license, either he didnt get it through in time or it was expired. Disappointed, as I was really looking forward to watching him. It's difficult to know, as the translation is a bit confusing, but it seems he kicked out at Laguta. The mention of Robert Kasprzak and Rune Holta has me wondering if Laguta was actually on the track at the time after a fall. Kasprzak was alleged to have kicked Holta while the Norwegian-Pole was lying on the track after a fall. Kasprzak had his licence suspended for something like six months as a result. The Polish authorities won't be soft on Batchelor if he's done something like that. I note in the comments someone says they have mobile phone footage of what happened. Mateusz Posted April 4, 2011 Report Share Posted April 4, 2011 I enjoyed watching this match. Despite an easy win (just as expected), there were a couple of good races. Finally they've done something with the Bydgoszcz track (it's much more grippy than last year) and now we can watch passing from first races. Mr Sayfutdinov and a grippy track is always a quality combination As for other matches in Division 1 yesterday - a big surprise in Gdansk. Wondering whether Gdansk are that weak or Gniezno that strong. Or something in between and it simply wasn't Gdansk's day. Dexter Posted April 4, 2011 Report Share Posted April 4, 2011 It looks like Polish first round was full of surprises. Gorzow beaten by Rzeszow despite Richardson's absence. Gollob was slow and looked more like testing his bikes. Nicki started well but heat by heat he was also slower. Iversen looked good. Great performance from Crump and Harris. Andersen... who is Andersen? Among other surprises there is easy victory from Wroclaw over Tarnow. In 1-st leage Gdansk did not manage to beat Gniezno and in the second league Krakow won their first meeting on the road since they reactivated speedway in 2010.
