SCB
Is that average number of points per GP or something? If so, isn't TRicks 16.68 higher?

Stevel
Is that average number of points per GP or something? If so, isn't TRicks 16.68 higher? It's from this table. http://www.speedwayinfo.co.uk/GPTable.html Seems to be total number of first, second and thirds in the GP series. lucifer sam
This table just shows how classy Hans Nielsen was. He's eighth in the table, despite the fact he only rode 5 seasons in the GP in the twilight of his career from the age of 35 until the age of 39. And his average is above everyone's bar Rickardsson's, who has the advantage of being in his prime whilst the GP was running. At the time of his retirement, Hans had won 6 GPs and Tony 5, despite Hans being 10 years older than Rickardsson. All the best Rob
ladyluck
Rickardsson's statistics are somewhat distorted relative to others who have performed more recently in the GPs, as, indeed, are Nielsen's. There was a time when you collared 25 points for a GP win, now the maximum in 24.

There was a time when you collared 25 points for a GP win, now the maximum in 24. True, but also should remember that, in 1995, there were only 20 points for the win. So it all balances out. And the GPs are easier these days as well, with a weaker line-up. Gollob took advantage of that last year (and fair play for him doing so). Gollob was never a match for either Rickardsson, a fully-fit Crump or a properly firing Nicki P. All the best Rob
Dexter
I guess it depends how you look at it... Crump is the only rider who managed to stay in the top 3 for 10 consecutive seasons since GP was introduced. He also won the most tournaments. Remember though that Jason had 2 more years than Rickardsson to complete this. Tony retired after 2006. Crump has been GP permanent since 1997.
