spin king
Will the tigers call on a menber of the saints this weekend for there trip to Rye House with Ash Birks riding at stoke? i hope he shows som faith and picks one rather than a rider from elsewhere I suppose it depends on who is available both Worrall twins are also in the line up, who would have been ideal replacements. Killer Cat from Mars
Looking forward to this meeting. I've been watching the NL at Buxton for many years and it is a fantastic product. Hope the fans come out in good numbers to support it. Both sides have strong lineups so should be an intriguing clash. Edited March 23, 2011 by Killer Cat from Mars
IronScorpion
I have posted about this issue before & i will post again. This venture is for the good of Scunthorpe Speedway. In the past 2/3 years, most of the Saints meetings have been part of a double header, which at the price we charge, is excellent value for money. Sadly, the stand alone meetings are not well supported with possibly 350-400 supporters only. We are blessed seeing great racing at the EWR. How many meetings have you seen Tigers, Bears, Vikings & other race jackets being worn when we are racing different opposition. People want to watch speedway and will travel where ever. It will be the same for us at Sheffield. It will be well supported as they have a great fan base & excellent facilities. The price of fuel keeps going up but if you car share with 4 people what would it cost you? Depending on the Vehicle being driven, probably about £12 which is £3 each. I know a few people that, have in the past, travelled to the EWR by bus & walking & seen others getting out of taxis! How much does it cost them? Please, give this venture a chance as the new PL fixture set up has left us with very few fridays to fill. Not just NL fixtures but rain offs & success in the cup will take care of some of these. Killer Cat from Mars
Good win for the Colts tonight - the track appeared to catch all the boys out to start with, maybe it was patchy because of the stocks and weather? Encouraging scores from all the Colts - solid all the way down, and a full maximum from Jason Garrity that will strike fear in the rest of the NL. Whilst he is at reserve, he will be the trump card of the whole league. Shame it's such a long wait until the next NL meeting.
montie
Did many turn up to watch the Colts this evening? Bit shocked at the score!!!
Killer Cat from Mars
Did many turn up to watch the Colts this evening? Bit shocked at the score!!! It was a decent crowd for NL (judging from my experiences at Buxton) - hard to tell exactly how many at Belle Vue because so many take cover indoors! :-). The Prowlers really struggled with the track early on - once it slickened off, it was a lot closer and there was some close races. There's definitely better to come from the Prowlers this season. bellevueace
Turn out didnt appear to be that bad, despite the score very entertaining with a lot of passing, especally jason garrity who scored a 15 max from the back. Well worth £10 of anyones money, looking forward to the next meeting.
Rob B
Decent crowd, at a guess about 500-600?
spin king
Good win for the Aces, surely a Premier League club is going to pick up young Jason Garrity sooner oe later. Bit worrying about Paul Cooper's score, but I am sure that he will come good, and nice to see Ashley The Works Birks putting in yet another fine performance. BroadsideAce
Really enjoyed the Meeting - plenty of good, competitive racing. Well done to all of the riders. Message to PL Promoters - get this lad Jason Garrity on board. He could be something very special. Lovely style on the bike and clearly a true racer. Shame about the crash in the Bronze Helmet Race. It will be interesting to see how he fares at Stoke on Saturday in the U-21 qualifier.

Good to see some positive comments on the BV Forum from non-NL supporters who seemed to enjoy the excitement, incident packed night and to witness the tremendous commitment from all the lads on display. With currently only one meeting per week at Belle Vue, it is hoped that some more of the EL supporters come along to support the Colts. They won't be disappointed.
