Barker the usual up and down,Smart needs to up it a level in this company, Nermrk did very well to get to the final, showed again in the last race he seems down on speed, hope he gets the set up right for Monday, post the slowest time of the evening. Nice day and good to talk speedway racing. Had to get out quick so dodnt get the last race time, could somebody tell me, thanks.
WIFFER2
Track was just superb last night, totally awesome, best thing that`s ever happened to the Newport dustbowl ,just don`t like these new silencers though, sound terrible, and although this sounds really daft,it doesn`t SMELL the same either!!!!!!!WHY o WHY do the powers that be,keep messing around with the rules and regulations???????,MR FISHER was a worthy winner last night, guy was on fire all night,TOP RIDER,how he hasn`t got a team place I will never know?????? TOP CLASS MEETING,Thanks To All
Diesel
Thoroughly enjoyed last night. Close racing, some action (a little bit too close in Aspegren's case!). Silencers didn't make too much of a difference for me. Â I think Mark Jones can hold his head up high, did a decent job in this sort of company. CrystalCastles
Track looked great big improvement. Decent crowd, cant remember having so many people stood around by where i stand for a long time. Programme had shiny paper in it & full colour photos. Good company, John Smiths was good. Some interesting rumours flying about. Racing i wouldnt have said that we had a noticeable improvement in the amount of passing & track seemed quite packed down. Â What we did have though was lots of close competitive racing and a number of good defensive rides in the heats with a few passes thrown in, we have a few different lines around the track now too. Â Fisher did the business he was awesome. Looks to be really up for this year. Puk was Puk. Lanham was his usual self, seemed a bit quicker & using a different line to his usual one last year can only bode well. Nermark was superb as a last minute replacement goes, couldnt ask for better. Parker was fantastic, think having raced 2 meetings already made a big difference. Nilsson was awesome, acceptable & poor all in one night, but against a line up this strong a very good performance. Legault nice consistent meeting was in the mix in every race. Howe consistent meeting again from him, sure will be a confidence booster given his inconsitent start at home. Looked upto speed & competitive in every race. Screen was impressive and fell of a couple of times when trying to get past people, also retired in one race.Mixed night for him. Jones superb in keeping PUK behind him and a great start in a very competitive meeting. Did well. Davies was a consistent meeting from Alex including a fall, More to come from him. Barker disappointing considering his start for the Brummies seemed to struggle in a couple of races, retired when his engine went pop greated by a loud cheer by some people a few down from us. Smart went about his business quietly. competitive line up reflected his score. Kurtz had a solid start possibly deserved a few more. Wright was again poor seemed to struggle in his first meeting i think. Aspegren had an eventful evening including the bike over the air fence, good job it cut out, stopped dead & didnt launch itself of the top edge of the safety fence. He will come good. Â Enjoyable first meeting of the season overall.
speedwaylover18
Well that was a great meeting really good to hear positive comments about the track from fans and riders! Well done to fisher and of course well done to lanham for coming third mark can only get better in time and last night he proved he isnt scared to pass or at least try to 4th to 2nd and keeping the door shut on iversen (Bet that took some doing) was great! In for a great season I think. A winning team and a great track = bigger crowds
piston197
Thoroughly enjoyed last nights action, great surface, some good racing and some good signs of things to come for the 2011 wasp's season, when you think the wasps scored 46 points between them in this company (yes i do know it was from more heats),but look at the level of competition the lower order faced, most of them top premier performers at least.Particularly pleased to see Mark Jones silencing some of his critics, all riders will have a period getting their bike set up under the new rules, but would be very surprised if even with these new set-ups the track record stands for long this season
Najjer
At least it's out of the way cos' I was always going to get abuse from Wanna. Now just to wait for the last guy to do the same. Although I'm near certain I read he wasn't going to this so at least I may be free of that one for now. Â Who knows, I may be at Newport next Saturday... although I 100% will be the following Saturday

EU environmental regulations have forced the FIM to take these measures, although reading other threads I wouldn't be suprised if Poland bully everyone into going back to the old silencers. In which case you can probably say goodbye to two or three tracks in the UK

CrystalCastles
Â If it could be awesome then why not post it?
