Prince Of Wales Trophy At Newport

Recommended Posts

He was so "on the ball" another, less deserving, rider blasted around him on bend 4. Yet the rider who blasted around him on the 4th bend didn't deserve the win, despite starting on what you yourself called "the outside gate which was pretty much very poor all night".

Jesus, I wonder what Ryan Fisher would have to have done for you to think it was deserved? Wave at as he went by on each lap? I can only assume he didn't touch your hand as you leaned over the fence after the final

You bring it all on yourself. If NKI had a 15 point maximum and retired whilst leading the final you could say he deserved to win. But he dropped points in the qualifying heats and was passed in the final after making the gate. No matter how much you would of liked him to win, it doesnt mean he deserved to win.

Still unsure about next weeks meeting. Would of loved it to be a challenge against Plymouth but not happening.

I just don't see how giving my opinion calls for the responses that you and a couple others give. I never stated he deserved to win it. I just said I felt he did.

My opinion is that Iversen was more on the ball than the others overall throughout the meeting.

Its comments like that which make me respond to you the way I do. I sometimes wonder if you actually know what speedway is.

Who were those Coventry knobs on the apex of the first and second bend?,and not one of them had a pint

Anyway,a decent enough meeting to blow the cobwebs away,Puk got caught napping in the final, some bloke called Fisher won it....

And relax.....

P.S.

The `Bow was good

Look, I gave you Mark Jones as an alternative. He tried very hard and you can tell he really wants to impress the fans and hold his average. I've gave an answer to two different definitions of 'deserve'.

be worthy or deserving; "You deserve a promotion after all the hard work you have done"

Using that definition, I don't see how my opinion deserves the responses received?

To have earned or merited; to be worthy to have; To reward, to give in return for service

Or this one.

Saying Iversen deserved to win is an insult to Ryan Fisher who rode hard all meeting.

Why dont you just accept you wanted Iversen to win without insisting he deserved to?

If it will stop you from insulting me anymore then fine. Fisher deserved to win it after being landed with the hardest gate and pulling it off and going on to hold off the challenge of an ever pushing Iversen. But then, surely this will be wrong too going by what has been posted against me?

Thank God you aint a referee. I can see it now, tonight, everyone would have seen Ryan Fisher finish the race in first but it would have been announced as, "and the official result according to tonight referee is a win in red for Niels Kristian Iversen. Our referee feels he should award the win to Niels as he is a nice guy and has pretty kevlars."

It is hardly insulting you.

In a professional situation it doesn't matter who you prefer or want to win. You can't just sign up to become a referee and be handed a job when you don't make the decisions fairly. Of course, you know this because this was just another attempt of insulting me.

...Well i thoroughly enjoyed my trip to Newport. After a winter of crap, it was nice to meet up with a few friends and have Cheeky bet or two!

Who did you feel deserved to win Matthew?

I really like the fact that two of the most incomprehensible people on here are having a go at someone else's poor choice of word.
