f-s-p
Katajisto is letting us down, machinery or not it's still him. Hautamäki keeping up with the competion allright alltough not ridden so much so far this season. Aarnio living up to the expections he himself made by blasting the management when he was not picked last year for KL.
ladyluck
No 'joker' rides allowed this year? Or they keep Hancock to replace Buman in joker ride in heat 21? I've a feeling "Joker" rides only start when BSI get involved.
krompa
Looks like Herbie is testing new silencers for GP. Cant imagine him losing to Tsukanov twice. Also beaten by Aarnio and Smolinski (twice as well).

Germany 47 USA 39 Finland 38 Ukraine 26 feeling disappointed for the team's performance and naturally not the slightest embarrased by my postings... I followed the meeting to the midpoint before I had to leave and felt the gates were gonna even themselves out... But it looks as though Germany was just too damn good this time and Katajisto was a weak link that was not in my books...
Igor
... The Landshut track, at 400m length... No, the length a bit shorter: Length: 392 m. Width of straight: 10 m. Width of bends: 16 m.
Bavarian
No, the length a bit shorter: Length: 392 m. Width of straight: 10 m. Width of bends: 16 m. Correct!
Bavarian
Katajisto fell in his fourth ride on the last corner, when he was in third place ahead of Germany's Toby Kroner. That dropped point was the beginning of Finland's downfall. Kalle was unable to take his last ride and could not be replaced because at this time Finland were only four points down with three heats to go. So with no Finn in heat 23 Frank Facher's heat win put the Germans seven up and with only two races left it was "game over" for the Finns. There is no joker (double points) in the SWC qualifying rounds, this is only for the main events, race-off and final. Kylmäkorpi's engine failure in heat 25 eventually sealed their bad luck on the night and cost the Finns even the second place overall. This the USA very deservedly took. If only Greg Hancock had scored some more points, the Yanks could have even caught the Germans. Fisher and Wells rode good, especially Fisher, and I was very impressed by Burmeister, who is a fast learner with great potential. Even Mikey Buman was never outpaced in his races. Unfortunately he over did it in his third ride, fell on the fourth bend and headed into the airfence. He escaped unhurt and was able to walk back into the pits, but took no more rides. It has to be said that the outside gate positions were not good. And there was a problem with the starting gate, which held up the racing for about 20 minutes, and needed to be replaced after s total failure at the re-start of heat 18. Oh, and let me add that the singer of the national anthem at the beginning was a total disgrace.

Hopefully nothing serious as Edinburgh need him to be fit and find some form again....Seems like his scoring in the match today fitted with what he has done for Edinburgh so far this year...If Kalle had done what he should have, Finland would surely have qualified. Fisher and Wells rode good, especially Fisher Wondering if Fish CAN step up to a higher level. I doubted it before despite his good scores in the PL in the UK, but maybe he can do it...Obviously the opposition today wasn't great, but he has done much better today than he did in the SWC qualifier last year. Maybe he IS ready to move on to the next level now...and surely the USA need someone stepping up to take over from Herbie.
