vog
Try asking the riders... So what would their solution be? For each rider to have a minimum of 4 rides, and for 8 teams to be represented, you need 48 heats (2 semi final's and a final) 48 heats would take approximately 4 years. So the choice is reduce the teams, or keep it as it is. If you reduce the teams, you are left with 4 teams (As would be in the final)...so who missed out? Stoke, Hackney, Dudley, Belle Vue, Scunfield? All 5 of those teams will think they could win the Four's, so which one isn't even allowed to enter? Amateur meetings including Stoke manage 52 heats in 3 hours and some of those are not NL standard (quite slow)

[quOTE It does not alter the fact it is a lousy format detested by riders ,scrap it. and introduce a new comp that is better thought out and viable..Or two semis of 4 teams at two different tracks , full meetings..Top two in each semi to the final preferably at a neutral track..Simples. CrystalCastles
Group A looks like it's got the potential to be a really tight group, difficult to pick a winner out of that. Group B Stoke should really walk that.
